DOING IT RIGHT.  President Obama went to the Middle East and in a high profile way said that the "One Way" street sign for America's Middle East policy was coming down.  This change in policy is what I've been recommending in my columns for years. Apparently, the Nobel Committee agrees.

TRICKY VIKINGS. I take my hat off to the Swedes. They are playing an interesting ball game. It's hard to get the Nobel Peace Prize one week, and then order the bombing of Iran the next week.

HONEY WORKS BETTER THAN VINEGAR.  Mr. Obama was going in the correct general direction in the Middle East. The Nobel Peace Prize is a giant carrot for Mr. Obama, and a motivation to keep going in the right direction.

I'll summarize part of the MANY columns that I've written on this subject over the years.

1. Iraq and Afghanistan NEVER were the centers of the conflict in the Middle East, and NEVER will be.
   
2. The main engine for "terrorist" motivation has been, and will continue to be until it is solved, the West Bank and Gaza.
   
3. The main motivation for the "terrorist" is moral outrage, and that's mainly (although not totally) centered on what's happening in the West Bank and Gaza.
   
4. The West Bank, and especially Gaza, is close enough to being de facto Soviet slave labor camps for the "terrorists" to make their case to a significant part of the Muslim world. Imagine what would happen in the US if American blacks were treated like the Gaza Palestinians. What do you think American blacks in this 21^st century would do?  Lay down and take it?
   
5. The United States will NEVER "win the war against Middle East terrorism" until it gets the West Bank and Gaza monkey off of its back. Victory NEVER WAS and never will be in Afghanistan. Victory WAS ALWAYS 1,700 miles to the West on the banks of the Jordan River.

SOLUTIONS FOR #5

1. President Obama should push for, and achieve, the takeover of the West Bank and Gaza by the United Nations. This get the West Bank and Gaza off of the backs of BOTH the USA and Israel. In the Muslim world the US is perceived to be the lap dog of Israel and just as guilty as Israel for the de facto slavery.
   
2. Israel, as usual, will scream that it has to keep the West Bank as a slave state for security reasons. That's BS, the United Nations is not going to use the West Bank to invade Israel. Anyone with two live brain cells to rub together should be able to see that the Israeli/US occupation of the West Bank and Gaza is NOT the solution - it's the problem.
   
3. Israel has occupied the West Bank and Gaza since 1967, and the occupation has NOT produced peace in the area. It's time to do something different. President Obama is NEVER going to be the President that made "limousine liberalism" work in America. However, he COULD be the President that got the West Bank and Gaza off of the backs of the America people, and the people of the world.

Over the years, in past published articles, and in letters to Congress, I've outline a total, complete, and comprehensive organization of the greater Israeli area. My plan would bring real peace and true safety to Israel. Perhaps the time has arrived?
