The Supreme Court's March 18th Hearing On “Gun Control,” The Heller Case and The 2nd Amendment by Andrew Molchan (February 14th 2008) On March 18th the Supreme Court will hear the pro and con arguments for the 2nd Amendment. The Supreme Court usually issues a ruling from two to five months following the arguments. I've been involved with the 2nd Amendment issue for 40 years. Second Amendment issues have been a life-long march for me. In 1967, my Army tour came to an end, I said goodbye to Asia, and returned to America. I started working in the firearms industry where I've been to this day. I've testified before Congress about "gun control issues." I was invited to the White House by President Nixon to consult about 2nd Amendment politics. I've been mentioned in almost every major news publication in America. I was on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. I was on both ABC and NBC nightly news. I was also on the "death list" of a radical group. The "death list" also included my old friend the late Neal Knox. My former office in Chicago was shot up. Ah, it's a great life so long as you don't weaken. Along the way, many people (perhaps thousands – I've lost track) have praised my work. On the other hand, the left wing media (and others) have on several occasions gone after me big-time. One example, the June 1995 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine said I was, "One of the most dangerous people in America." Everyone in America has a right to their opinion. The 1st Amendment is just as important as the Second Amendment, and the 2nd Amendment is just as important as the 1st Amendment. The job of the press (or those in the press who follow the intent of the 1st Amendment), is NOT to be "yes boys" and ass-kissers. The Constitutional intent of the 1st Amendment is for the press, in the name of the "Meek," to challenge the "Pharisees" and the "tax collectors." The correct and Biblical job of the press is to keep the Pharisees (i.e. the ruling class) in contract with the common people (i.e. the Meek). The philosophy behind the 1st Amendment is that people should be equal in their ability to speak, and express ideas. Sometimes it takes decades, but in the end the truth wins. Now we come full circle back to "gun control" and the 2nd Amendment. For 40 years the left wing (including many evil people inside of the press – Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, etc. etc.) all worked overtime in their efforts to "sell" the big-lie of gun control. They manufactured evidence, they were masters at the halftruth, selected information, glittering generalities, and the distorted TV "set up." They fabricated evidence and tons of manipulated statistics, and applied every trick with the ultra-liberal use of propaganda twists at ever turn. Worst of all, some of the media elite corrupted a significant part of the American police force. The big left-wing media appealed to some of the worst basic instincts of Homo sapiens by constantly telling the police that the police had a "right" and even a "duty" to be above "the people." The police motto for the left wing media was NOT "Serve and Protect," it was "Dominate and Rule." You cannot understand the United States Constitution and the 2nd Amendment without fully appreciating how deeply religious most of our "founding fathers" were, especially George Washington. Many people mistakenly believe that the Bible is only about the, "Here After." The Bible is full of advice about how an individual should live, how those in power should govern, how nations should act, and how nations should wage war. I'm an expert on military grand strategy. The real world proof of that is that for the last 44 years my grand strategy analysis has been correct. Most of the time my analysis was the opposite of America's military generals. In 1964 I precisely outlined what was going to happen in Vietnam. In 2002 I outlined what was going to happen in Iraq, and so forth. I don't want to boast, or sound arrogant, but the provable fact is that I've been considerably better than 98% of the Pentagon's generals for the last 44 years. How did I do it? First of all, prophets are born and not raised. Again, I don't want to be arrogant, but the simple fact is that God gave me a talent for seeing some things in ways most people cannot. However, along the way I did read every book in the world on grand strategy. I understand the grand strategy principles that were active, or not active, for either winning or losing all big wars during the last 3000 years. My thinking about military grand strategy continued, and I came to the conclusion that the number one best book in the world for military grand strategy is the Bible. The Bible has the ultimate keys for either winning or losing long-term "grand" military struggles. Like the current grand military struggle in the Middle East. Most Americans today do not know that General Washington only had the support of 1/3 of the people in all the American colonies, (1/3 of the American colonists supported General Washington and the revolution, 1/3 were supporting the British, and 1/3 didn't give a damn who won and didn't help either side). However, General Washington understood the military strategy that's in the Bible, this being one of the main reasons why Washington's small ragtag "joke army" defeated the then greatest military power in the world. The British had the biggest and most expensive military machines in the world on their side, but General Washington had God on his side. The Bible is a lot more than "The Here After." The grand strategy reason why America's generals lost in Vietnam, and are losing in the Middle East, is because they do not understand the military principles in the Bible. They don't understand the Bible because for a half-century they've been blinded by their own grandeur, and the Pentagon has deteriorated into an intellectually mummified system where "yes" to your unthinking superiors is the only acceptable answer. Evil is real, "evil ones" are real, and Jesus was not against all wars or fighting. Jesus said that the Devil is real. The Devil in his different forms is mentioned 196 times in the Bible, and the Bible calls the Devil, " The prince of this world." Jesus was a soldier, and a revolutionary, not a pacifist. Jesus, and ten of the twelve apostles died violent deaths. Most of the early Saints died violent deaths. Jesus said that wars will come, but if you want God on your side you have to fight wars that will bring justice to all, that are "righteous," and will bring equal benefits to ALL of the meek. Jesus said that wars that are fought to bring grandeur, glory and power to one side or the other are NOT His wars. America's part in WWI was fought with Jesusian principles. America was not after land, power, oil and grandure, but wanted the killing to stop. America's part in WWII was fought with even stronger Jesusian principles, and after WWII God handsomely blessed and rewarded the American people. Unfortunately for the American people, Jesusian military principles have been profoundly lacking with America's wars for the last half-century. Jesusian military principles continue to be lacking in today's war in the Middle East. At the 1787 Constitutional Convention, the founding fathers understood what Jesus was saying. General Washington, using Jesusian principles, had just won a war against seemingly impossible odds. The founding fathers, fresh off of victory from using Jesusian principles, were motivated to keep doing God's work. Our founding fathers understood what Jesus had said in the Bible. They "got the message," and they constructed the U.S. Constitution around that message. The core reason why the U.S. Constitution has worked and survived for so long, is because it's foundation was built on the bedrock of Jesusian teaching. The reason why so many other constitutions from other countries have failed in the last 220 years is because even though many other constitutions had the nice sounding adjectives, and lots of pretty words, they lacked the Jesusian spirit of true equality that is at the core to the U.S. Constitution. One of the things Jesus consistently preached against was political rule based on elites, or who was strongest, or who had the power to kill. Jesus was highly skeptical of democracy because He understood how democracy could be twisted into mob rule. " Democracy" as used by President Bush when he talks about the Middle East is democracy WITHOUT, "Justice for ALL." Jesus never gave blanket approval to democracy because He know how evil and/or dumb people would twist it out of shape. Jesus did give blank approval to justice for all. Jesus wanted political order to be based on the principles of shared recognition, freedom, equality, righteousness, and rule of law with justice for ALL. For the last 40 years, some of the most powerful people in American media (agents of the Devil), have used every trick in the book to convince the average American (the meek), that the 2nd Amendment does NOT apply to the meek, and does not apply to the "people." The anti-gun and anti-equality forces used every trick, and they have failed. The anti-equality demons have already repeated every lie a 1000 times over. Caution is part of the spirit of the Constitution because Jesus preached caution in making judgments. The Supreme Court has been looking at the "gun control" issue for many decades. It's time for the "wait-and-see" part of "gun control" to end. It's time for the Supreme Court to get America off the rancid "gun-control" dead carcass so we can move America beyond the 1960's. For decades I've pointed to example after example of where and how "gun-control" has short-circuited law enforcement. Without the excuse of "gun control" law enforcement will improve, and overall, Americans will become safer. If the gun-control left-wing of the Democratic Party re-wrote the U.S. Constitution it would start like this: "We the Government of the United States, in order to form a more perfect control, establish order, insure government tranquility, provide for the government's defense, promote the general welfare of the governing class, and to secure the blessing of power and control to the ruling class for posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." The agents of the Devil have FAILED. The majority of the American "people" did NOT buy the Devil's scam. It's time for the Supreme Court to stop the lies, the disinformation, and the on-going corruption of the police, big media and the Democratic Party. It's time to free America. It's time to say that the 2nd Amendment means what it says because that's the kind of world that Jesus wanted. A world that did NOT have walls between the ruling elite and the "people." What Jesus wanted is what America's founding fathers wanted, and that's why the 2nd Amendment is there to give "equal rights" to the "meek." There are dozens of good reasons (large and small) why the Supreme Court should re-establish the original meaning of the 2nd Amendment. The biggest reason is that starting in the 1960's, the American culture started ignoring the real meanings of what Jesus had taught. Jesusian teaching was twisted into a left-wing version of Marxism lite. Left wing politicians used the name of Jesus, but in private they told their friends that big government was the real god. It is no coincidence that the moral, ethical, social and military decline of the American civilization has run parallel to the rise of "gun control." Gun control is not the cause of America's decline. However, it is one of the many symptoms of the retreat of American culture from Jesusian philosophy. When the Supreme Court re-establishes the original meaning of the 2nd Amendment, it will start to remind some people of the original Jesusian reason for the 2nd Amendment, and that will be good. It will be one small step in the correct direction, with hopefully many more steps to follow. Today, there are many people who think of themselves as Christians, but they've adopted the Devil's distorted understanding of Jesus. They think of "heaven-on-Earth" as something like the 1930's Stalinist paintings: everyone smiling, everyone marching in step, with their shovels over their shoulders, all happily marching forward to build "the people's dam," or the "people's tractor factory," or some other project to glorify big government. When communists talk about "the people," they really mean the government's rule elite. When the attorneys for the City of Washington D.C. argue the 2nd Amendment case before the Supreme Court they will use "the people" in the communist sense. However, for Jesus, and for the writers of the U.S. Constitution, the "people" meant the people: the meek, the farmer, the butcher, baker and the candlestick maker. The "people" were (are) the "militia" of the good people who would be armed and instantly ready to protect their community from evil ones. Here's a question that a Justice should ask Washington D.C.'s attorneies: "If a group of armed community people, ordinary, honest, God respecting and law respecting citizens, get together for the defense of their community against aggressive evil ones, what would be a better single word other than ‘militia' to more precisely describe that group?" On March 18th the attorneys for the Pharisees (i.e. Washington D.C.'s government) will argue that only the powerful should have firearms. They will point to the unfortunate murders that do happen, and they will say, "This is not order. This is not marching in step. This is not perfection!" So what did Jesus say? Why is the 2nd Amendment there when bad things sometimes happen with firearms? What Jesus said is crystal clear in dozens of places: the parable of the unjust judge (Lk. 18:1-5).The Judge who really did not care about justice. The parable of the unjust steward (Lk. 16:1-3).The steward that misrepresents his master, but then is rewarded by his master for his underhanded cunning. The parable of the slave who kept his master's money safe, and was punished for not investing it, (Mt. 25:14-30: Lk. 19:12-27. The parables of the tower builders (Lk. 14:28-30, 31-32: Lk.(Justice's Name) One 1st Street N.E. Washington D.C. 20543.
