The Future of the American Dollar, Thoughts About Bombing Iran, and How President Bush could Rescue His Historical Reputation – if He wanted.

32nd Article in the “How To Survive' Series

by Andrew Molchan

(March 22, 2008) It would be a lot easier, safer, and more profitable for me to not be forthright. It would be much more profitable for me to go along with the crowd and say, "Victory in the Middle East is almost here. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!" It would be much more popular to say, "The Fed will lower interest rates a few times more, and then America will be return to sub-prime paradise."

I'm not going to say what's popular, but wrong. All my life I've tried to be a good citizen, of both America and the world. The course that the power elite idiots in Washington D.C. are traveling along, both in the Middle East, and their fanatical borrowing of money, are disastrous policies that are playing into Osama bin Laden's master plan to destroy the America dollar. Ordinary working Americans are going to eventually pay a crushing and highly painful price for the government's mistakes. The burden will be especially hard on Americans who are presently under 35 years of age.

Twenty years from now, Americans are going to have to produce something of value to equal what they are consuming. Economically, that's going to be a very different America from today.

A FEW RECENT PREDICTIONS

Most of my writing is unpopular, and most of it is correct. My predictions are ideas that most people do NOT want to believe at the time. However, I look at the provable facts, and make my judgments based on the facts.

March 2008 is the 5th anniversary of the current phase of the Iraq War. To be honest, the Iraq War started January 17th 1991 with a massive bombing attack by the US Air Force. In reality, the American-Iraq War is in its 19th year. Next January 17th 2009 will be the 20th anniversary of the Iraq-American War.

In the January 2004 issue of AFI, (that's over four years ago,) on page 62, I wrote this highly unpopular observation:

"Here is the bottom line on the Middle East. We are into the ninth crusade. There never was a military solution (for the West) to the first eight crusades. During the first eight crusades the West won many brilliant tactical battles in the Middle East, just like Iraq has had many brilliant USA tactical wins, but in the end, the first eight crusades left a million dead European soldiers on the battlefields, and the Europeans were driven from the Middle East. They would not return to the Middle East for 600 years.

"This ninth crusade does NOT have a military solution. Every Muslim in the Middle East knows the West lost the first eight crusades, and they know that militarily the USA will eventually lose this ninth crusade. Ultimately, there are no long-term military solutions for America in the Middle East. The American Army, like the European crusader armies before them, cannot expand into almost unlimited space with very limited troops. The European crusader armies were vastly superior in heavy attack armor, but they couldn't pin down the Muslims.

"In Vietnam, (1962 - 1975), the heavily armored American Army could never pin down the North Vietnamese. Today, the American Army has exactly the same fatal, and unsolvable, problem. It will NEVER be able to pin down the Muslim rebels.

"In the first eight crusades the Muslims lost most of the battles until the great and powerful European crusader army bleed to death. In the current Iraq War (the ninth crusade), the Muslim rebels will keep losing the tactical battles until America bleeds to death financially, and the American dollar collapses."

My military assessment of the Iraq War, made four years ago, correctly and accurately pinpointed the core military issue. The above assessment was unpopular on 2004, it's still unpopular, and it's still correct.

The current "surge" in the Iraq War is a fraud. The US government secretly went to the largest Muslim combative groups inside of Iraq, like those of Moqtada al-Sadr, and told them they could have tens of millions of dollars to spread around among their fighters if their combative groups took a "vacation" until after President Bush left office. Most of the Muslim combative groups took the deal. Prediction: General David Petraeus will find a reason to be out of Iraq by (or before) January 2009 when the "vacation" period ends.

Here's a really unpopular memory. Over five years ago, before the current attack phase on the Iraq War started, four-star General Colin Powell, then Secretary of State, said, "We don't have to worry about Iraq turning into another Vietnam, because we have an exit strategy." Secretary of State, General Powell, was absolutely correct, when Iraq turned into Vietnam – he made an exit.

Starting in 2002, I wrote that our reaction to 9/11 was what Osama bin Laden wanted. I said 9/11 was a trap, and the idiots in Washington had taken the bath. I said several times in print that the ultimate grand strategy of Osama bin Laden was (is) the destruction of the American dollar. Osama bin Laden, and his friends, tricked America into invading Iraq. Just like they are now working hard to trick America into attacking Iran. I am 100%, totally, and absolutely sure that what's at the very top of Osama bin Laden's wish list is for America to start bombing Iran. I am also totally, and 100% sure, that bombing Iran would be a long-term disaster for the American people.

Dr. Joseph E Stiglitz has written a new book. The Three Trillion Dollar War; The True Cost of the Iraq Conflict. Dr. Stiglitz's book confirms what I've been saying for five years. Osama bin Laden's real objective is the destruction of the America dollar.

Dr. Stiglitz won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001. He's a Yale and Columbia University economics professor. He was the senior VP of the World Bank. He was also the Chairman of President Clinton's council of Economic Advisors from 1995 to 1997.

Osama bin Laden is winning. The American dollar is racing toward destruction. The destruction of the US dollar means that the US is no longer going to be a super power. The EU will be the world's biggest economic power, and China will be as big economically as the USA. America's "solution" is not to expand the crusade by bombing Iran. Something that I'm sure Osama prays for every day. Part of America's solution is to cut back the war everywhere possible, and save American dollars. The solution is the grand strategy for victory that I outlined years ago.

Four years ago, I sent to the US Senate an outline of the correct grand-strategy for winning in the Middle East. It was (is) the correct strategy. It was (is), a grand strategy that did NOT involve killing anyone. After four years, it looks better than when I first sent it to the US Senate. However, my plan was not what the power elite in Washington D.C. wanted to believe. It did NOT fit into their Matrix of lies and delusions. So, my plan was (is), "wrong." In the mean time, the worth of the US dollar keeps gong down, and down and down - exactly as I predicted, and young Americans keep dying.

Here is the factual, and correct, current grand strategy military situation in the Middle East:

THE FACTS: Israel's GDP is $170 billion per year, and its growth rate is 2%. The Muslim world's combined GDP is $2100 billion, and growing at 6%. The Muslim world's combined GDP, in a few years, will be increasing by an amount greater than Israel's total yearly GDP. The Muslim world ALREADY has massive surpluses of cash, while the USA ALREADY has massive deficits. The Muslim world already loans America billions in cash. The American deficits will continue to deepen, and the cash surpluses in the Muslim world will continue to increase. Muslim countries are already in the process of "decoupling" their

currency from the US dollar. Every year, hundreds of banks and insurance companies are opening in Muslim countries. Every year, thousands of managed-funds are opening in Muslim countries. Muslim banks are buying into banks worldwide. Osama knows how to do the math – and what it means. Time is NOT on the side of the USA, and Israel. "Waiting" will prove to be fatal for both America and Israel. It's time to change our grand strategy from proven failure, to a new and courageous strategy for success.

Osama knows that America is the only friend Israel has in the world. When America goes into financial chaos, then Israel will be financial boycotted, and financially strangled. Osama and company will apply General U.S. Grant's "Anaconda strategy" to Israel. There are already labor unions in Europe, especially in England, that want to boycott Israel. The stage is being set for Osama's victory.

For Osama to win, three things need to happen. (1) America has to keep on making the same old mistakes, in the same old way, based on the same old delusions. (2) A Pearl Harbor like bombing of Iran would definitely be a massive help toward speeding Osama's victory. (3) The power elite in Washington D.C. has to continue their rejection of the imaginative, courageous and winning plan that I outlined, and sent, to the US Senate, years ago.

I PREDICTED THE SADDAM HUSSEIN IN MISTAKE

Here's another reminder. Back in 2003,Vice President Richard Cheney said, When Saddam Hussein is dead the Iraqi people will throw flowers at the feet of the Americans. All of the Middle East will do exactly what America wants. Oil would be $9 a barrel for the next 20 years, and all the problems in the Middle East will be gone.

In the April 2004 issue of AFI, on page 10, I wrote: "This March 2004 was the one-year anniversary of the Iraq invasion. If you read all of my columns before March 2003 you'd see I was very cool to the invasion idea. Over a year ago (before the invasion) I came to the conclusion that Saddam Hussein was definitely NOT the core Middle East problem, and since Hussein was never the core problem, his death or removal would never be the core solution."

On this fifth anniversary of the Iraq disaster, Saddam Hussein is long dead. Exactly as I predicted, over four years ago, his death meant NOTHING. Hey, how's this for a totally radical idea for Washington D.C.? Rather than ONLY listening to those who have always been wrong, why not start listening to some people who have been right? Now, that would really be a "change."

I do not bring up the above for any ego reasons. I bring up the many examples of myself being right because most of my predictions (when I first make them), are highly unpopular. Ninety percent of people, when they first hear my predictions, take of the attitude of, "That's not what I want to hear, so Andy is wrong, wrong and wrong!" I'm old already, and I'm not the one who's going to suffer the most from America's mistakes. It's those who are young, they are ones I want to help. I also sincerely believe that the world needs the old America. The America that wrote the US Constitution and made it a light unto the world.

A CURRENT UNPOPULAR PREDICTION

President Bush's domestic polices are 95% correct. On domestic issues he's a thousand times better then the Democrats. However, when it comes to military strategy, and the Middle East, President Bush and Vice President Cheney have a gift for being long-term militarily, and grand-strategy, wrong.

I voted for President Bush, twice, but the above are the facts. I kept hoping that President Bush would learn from his Middle East mistakes, but he just keeps getting worse. Fanatically insisting that the truth isn't the truth is the problem, NOT the solution. Making failures bigger (like expanding the war into Iran) is the problem, NOT the solution.

Admiral William Fallon, the four-star admiral of U.S. Central Command, and former Commander of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet, resigned March 12th in protest against President Bush's plans. Although nothing was said, those plans probably include the bombing of Iran. Admiral Fallon should be commended. He is a very rare breed at the Pentagon, an officer who puts the long-term safety and welfare of the America people before following clearly wrong orders. An officer who had the courage to say "no."

The average American citizen needs more leaders like Admiral Fallon. An officer with universal courage, an officer who had the courage to be right, even when being right made him unpopular with the ruling elite. My prediction is that Mr. Obama will get the Democratic Party nomination. Admiral Fallon, as the VP choice, would fill-in a lot of open spaces on an Obama ticket.

As things stand now, President Bush will go down in history as America's greatest military disaster. Bombing Iran would certainly clinch that title. However, he and Vice President Cheney could still save their historical reputations. They could still win in the last minutes of the game. How? Take the Middle East plan that I outlined, and propose it as American policy. The plan has imagination and courage. As soon as President Bush would make the proposal, he'd be a historical winner. He would do a great service to America, and for the next president, by taking the first wave of criticism from all the fanatics who are clinging to yesterday. Worldwide, President Bush would seize the ethical and moral high ground from the time of the first speech.

President Bush would seize the imagination and goodwill of every ethical and thinking person in the world. He would take a decisive step towards avoiding a nuclear war the Middle East. A nuclear was that could spill over into attacks on American cities. The history books would say, "President Bush made many mistakes, but in the end, he had courage and imagination."

Will President Bush do the above? Unfortunately, I don't think so. The above solution, and world honor (Nobel Peace Prize?), will probably go to a President Obama.

HILLARY CLINTON HAS RECENTLY RUN ADS PICTURING A RED PHONE, WITH TITLES LIKE:

WILL THE PERSON IN THE WHITE HOUSE BE READY WHEN THE HOT LINE RINGS?

Hillary's ad is a dig at Mr. Obama, and is a round about way of saying that Mrs. Clinton has experience, but Mr. Obama doesn't. Mrs. Clinton has lots of experience, and most of it's bad. Mrs. Clinton has experience with the murder of Vince Foster, and its cover-up, the drug deals in the town of Mena, Arkansas, the sub-prime but very profitable real estate loans from Whitewater, and hard to believe cattle profits. Mrs. Clinton did not have enough experience to know that her husband was having continuing sexual affairs in the White House's Oval Office.

When the Red Phone, in the White House, rings in the middle of the night, it won't be about a nuclear attack. It will be from our American ambassador in China saying that the value of the US dollar, and US Treasury Bonds, have just collapsed on the Asian markets, and there's a financial crises that's starting to spread all over Asia, and from there, probably to the world.

BOTH MRS. CLINTON AND MR. OBAMA ARE STUCK IN THE 1960'S. BOTH OF THEM SPEND 90% OF THEIR TIME TALKING ABOUT ISSUES THAT ARE 90% IRRELAVANT TO THE FUTURE WELL BEING OF AMERICA.

During the current political campaign, the vital issues of the value of the dollar, exchange rates, and America's unsustainable trade deficit are usually answered with a one-sentence slogan. The Clinton-Obama fight is mainly about racial issues. I joined the NAACP back in 1960, when there were real injustices that needed correcting. Back in the 1960's and 1970's we succeeded. We made Black and White people "equal" before the law. We succeeded by giving everyone, regardless of skin color, an "equal" right to succeed. Today, some of the most successful people in America are Black.

Today, the racial issue of "equality" has been totally twisted by the demagogical politicians. In today's America, most of the ranting and raving about people NOT being equal is really the issue of why somebody (person A) with an I.Q. of 85, is not making as much money as (person B) with an I.Q. of 130. Politicians who exploit race for votes, like Mrs. Clinton, keep asking, why person A is not "equal" in what they have, compared to person B? Mrs. Clinton knows the reason why there are differences. She's exploiting the weaknesses of Black people.

The unpopular truth is that we CAN correct the "inequality" created by men, and should. However, we cannot correct the "inequality" that is created by God.

I'll tell you a secret, if you really want to get a left-winger foaming at the mouth over racial issues, tell him or her the truth, and the truth is that most of what is called "inequality" in America today, is genetically based inequality. People who genetically have low I.Q.'s are in total not going to be as successful as people who in total have genetic high I.Q's. Left-wingers are fanatics in their insistence that economic "inequality" has nothing whatsoever to do with genetic I.Q. The total denial of genetics being related to success is basically a denial of God's universe, and that denial is part of the Matrix of lies that dominates every aspect of modern America thought.

WHAT ALL THE CANDIDATES SHOULD BE DEBATING

America MUST have the courage to face, and solve, the present one-sided, global, economic structure under which the US consumes massive amounts of imported goods. Thus accumulating massive trade deficits, and then borrowing the money from the rest of the world to float the deficits on an ever-increasing amount of outstanding Treasury bonds.

America has to stop exporting paper money in the form of Treasury bonds, sub-prime mortgages, corporate bonds and factories. The political debate should be about how to consume less, and save more, and produce more. It should be about how to produce things of value to match the things of value that we consume. However, that's not happening, and it's not going to happen. This means that somewhere in the future, the Hot Line Phone will someday ring in the White House, but it will be about the collapse of the dollar.

We should all insist that the candidates discuss important issues.
