(January 24th 2007) President Bush gave his “State of the Union” address last night. Unfortunately, it was exactly what I expected. Clearly President Bush thinks that he’s Franklin Roosevelt, and it’s WWII, and the Muslim world is Nazi Germany.

There has to be somebody in Washington D.C. who’s sane? It’s time for the sane people in Washington D. C. to rescue President Bush from himself. It’s time for them to rescue the future of the American people, and the future of the world.

On the big issues in the Middle East, President Bush has an unbroken record of being 100% wrong. Doing more of what’s wrong is only going to make a bad situation worse.

The State of the Union address was one more example of doing it wrong. President Bush should have reached out to all Muslims, everywhere. He should have reminded everyone in the world that we all want the same things: a future for our children, safe streets, justice, fair play, honesty, intellectual courage from our leaders, governments that are not corrupt and/or insane, and most of all - hope for a better future. He should have reminded people that we all live on the same small planet. Science fiction is fiction, this is the only world Homo sapiens will ever have, and it’s in trouble. We have problems the total world should be working on – not killing each other.

If I were President, I would have had the courage to say that on the issue of religion, it’s really the Judaic-Christian-Muslim religion. Rather than look at only the differences between us, we must start to look at the many similarities. I would have said that it’s only one universe and it’s only one God. There is no Christian universe and a different Muslim universe. The differences between Christianity and Islam are very important to we small-minded Home sapiens, but they are of no concern to God. God is not a small mind force. God works on the big picture. In God’s plan we small minded Homo sapiens are almost gone. Before the end of this century our species will be on the way out. The job of the President of the United States, and the generals and admirals in the Pentagon, and the CIA, FBI, Congress, courts, and so forth, MUST be to keep everything cool so we don’t destroy the world before the coming arrival of God’s next stage.
The next stage will be the beginning of paradise on earth – if we don’t destroy ourselves beforehand.

President Bush, as usual, is doing it exactly wrong. He’s going to give more weapons to the Sunnis, more weapons to the Shiites, and more weapons to the Kurds and Shias. All based on the idea that by making the civil war bigger, and killing more people faster - that’s the “solution.”

President Bush’s “Surge Plan” reminds me of Hitler’s “Ardennes Offensive” i.e. the battle of the bulge in December 1944. Hitler’s insane slaughter of German troops for pure ego reasons. Hitler’s “plan” totally ignoring the grand strategy fact that the shooting war for German had been lost two years earlier.

I’m not for America leaving the Middle East, and I’m not anti-war. I’m anti-losing. I’m anti doing it the wrong way. I’m for saying in the Middle East and doing it right – and winning for the American people and for the world’s future. The right way requires mental courage and imagination, something “General Bush” is totally lacking.

I believe that if anyone asked President Bush to specifically outline the roots of Muslim terrorism. I sincerely think he would not know what you were talking about. I think President Bush thinks of “terrorists” as like mushrooms in the woods – one day they were just there. Or perhaps, he thinks that terrorists came down on space ships? Here’s the question almost everyone in Washington D. C, and the big press are fanatically avoiding. “How do you correct terrorism when you refuse to think about the roots of terrorism?”

I really shake my head when President Bush consistently says. “The terrorists hate us because they are jealous of our way of life.” What are they jealous of? Do they want the sex stores that are all over America? Do the want America’s Internet pornography and it’s 25,000 American sex websites? Do they want their 10 year olds to be able to get hardcore pornography on their cell phones like American kids? Do the want American’s massive addition to drugs? Do they want our American schools that can’t teach adequate reading and math to 30% of our kids? Do they want the like of leadership America has, like our Presidents who don’t see anything wrong with getting blow jobs in the Oval Office, or killing American soldiers for personal ego reasons? Do they want our ever-growing number of gambling casinos? Places like Las Vegas that have 60 pages in their city “Yellow Pages” for female and male prostitutes? Do they want 35 million people on food stamps like America? Do they want the worst legal liability system in the industrialized world like America has right now? Are they jealous of American’s ever increasing out-of-marriage birth rates, or America’s high divorce rate? Do they want big corporation CEO’s who are financially raping the “public” companies they control? Do they want the most f**ked up insurance/medical system in the industrialized world? Do the want our national debt and our currency that’s heading for the toilet? Do they want America’s addition to debt at every level in our society?

HERE IS THE TRUTH -President Bush is so far out of it on Middle East issues – it’s beyond words. One thing is crystal clear. He has no idea of what’s motivating the “terrorist,” and he DOES NOT want to know. It’s the classic, “Don ‘t bother me with the truth when I already have all the answers.” He’s convinced that all Muslims are really Nazis, and that he’s Franklin Roosevelt. Or, maybe he thinks he’s Napoleon Bonaparte?

I’m not anti-war. I don’t want to sound arrogant, but I probably know more about world military history than most of the generals in the Pentagon. There are times when soldiers have to die, but this is not one of those times. I am anti doing it the wrong way and only making it worse. I’ve had two soldiers, at different times, die in my arms. I’ve been right there when 8 others died. The North Koreans killed them. Military death has been up close and personal for me. Having to see the last seconds of young person’s life, and the pain of not being able to stop the death. At least once a week for the past 40 years I’ve spent a few minutes thinking about what their lives might have been. About the parents, grandparents, wives, brothers and sisters they left behind. About the lifetime of family gatherings, Christmas mornings, birthdays, and holidays they never had. About their parents having an empty chair at Thanksgiving for the remainder of their lives. I thought about the parents of the dead soldiers growing old, and in a nursing home, dying, but there’s no son to come and see them in their last hours. About the children and grandchildren the dead soldiers never had. Was the death of some of my brothers in Korea worth it? History has always been tricky. The answer to that question is still open. If South and North Korea peacefully rejoin as I hope they will some day, than their deaths were worth it. Perhaps then, I might be able to put them to rest in my mind, and to finally say – goodbye.

The cost-benefits ratio for Americans dying in Iraq is way out of line. I pray to God that somebody in Washington D.C. can find the courage to go from doing it the wrong way, to doing it the right way.

WHY WE LOST IN IRAQ

(December 20th 2006 Fort Lauderdale). NONE DARE CALL IT MURDER. Another year of President Bush’s Middle East mismanagement and the Democrats in 2008 will walk into the Senate, House and White House. President Bush has been 100% wrong in every Middle East decision he’s made. Still, he refuses to see what 80% of the rest of the world can see. His grand plan shooting our way back into yesterday is a disaster for America, and a disaster for the world. All the Americans who are dying in the Middle East, that’s NOT a viable military operation that has any common sense – it’s murder.

THE IMMEDIATE SOLUTION THAT WON’T HAPPEN. The best thing that could happen for the future of our firearms industry, and for America, is for President Bush to say, “My judgments and decisions in the Middle East have been less than perfect. I’m giving totally managerial control of our government’s Middle East polices and programs to Congress. In that area, I will do what they want me to do.” The above admission of reality would definitely be the right thing to do for the American people. However, President Bush in six years has not made one correct decision about anything connected to Iraq, or the Middle East, and it’s totally naïve to believe he’ll start now.

OSAMA BIN LADEN’S PLAN. Three years ago I sent letters to the Senate outline what was happening in Iraq. I outlined why Osama bin Laden was going to win unless we did a180-degree turn around in our strategy, and I outline the needed strategy. I sent the letter to make myself feel better. I was 100% sure nothing would come of my letter to the Senate. The eye cannot see what the mind cannot visualize, and what I was talking about was something the Washington power matrix cannot visualize. Thus, event though our forces are surround with Osama’s strategy in Iraq, they cannot see it, because they refuse to see it.

THE ‘SECRET’ WEAPONS SYSTEM. Osama bin Laden’s “weapon system” in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in future places, is chaos. Osama could see that the “mental set” of the American Pentagon is 100% based on hardware. 100% of what the Pentagon defines as a “weapons system” is an extension of something that started in WWII. The Pentagon and the Washington power matrix can only think in terms of psychical tangibles. In Iraq, Osama knew that America’s troop ratio to Iraqis could never be more than 500 Iraqis to 1 American. By creating a civil war, by creating chaos, the American troops would be drowned in a sea of chaos. The American Army would be like a giant Rhinoceros in the middle of a forest fire.

THE WORLD HAS CHANGED BUT THE PENTAGON HASEN’T. The 21st century technology has given small groups, and even individuals, great power. However, the Pentagon is still a WWII organization. Too big, too many layers of command, and over controlled. The generals don’t want anyone making any real decisions except them, but all of their collected minds are 50 years behind the real world. The reason why the Pentagon has LOST every significant shooting war in 60 years (and have already lost in Iraq), is because it’s a giant collection of “yes men” who are NOT supposed to think – and they don’t think. They don’t ask the right questions. Those who have asked the truly right questions immediately went on the “do not promote” list.

VIETNAM II. The Viet Cong won the Vietnam War with the same weapon system – chaos. Osama could see that the Viet Cong eventually submerged the American military machine in a sea of chaos, and the American Army, over controlled, over manipulated, and top heavy with generals who can only think in WWII terms, downed in a sea of chaos. In Vietnam they made exactly the mistake President Bush wants to make again, “More Troops, more troops.” More troops for the killing machine. It’s the strategy of the Somme all over again. Like Vietnam, our American Army is drowning to death in Iraq. Osama could also see that the Pentagon, even after losing in Vietnam, totally refused to change it’s mental set. Osama could see that the Washington establishment fanatically defined big machines as the ONLY kind of weapon system in the world. Because of this blind fanaticism, the Pentagon has no training, no doctrines, no systems whatsoever for effectively dealing with a “chaos weapon system.”

YOU HAVE TO SEE WHAT ISN’T THERE. After Vietnam, no American General ever wrote a book titled. “How we could have won in Vietnam.” The Pentagon never had any real world answers for how they could have won in Vietnam. If they had no plan for winning in Vietnam how were they going to win in Iraq? That’s one of the dozens of vitally important “forbidden questions” that were never asked before this disaster started. For the Pentagon Iraq is like Vietman, a giant failure of intellectual honesty, a giant failure of intellectual courage, and a giant failure of imagination. Let’s be honest, scrape away the patriotic BS, and the majority of the people in Washington’s power matrix have their next promotion, and their retirement checks and benefits, at the very top of their list. What’s actually, real world, good for the average American working man and woman is way, way down on the list. Yes, turning Iraq into America’s Stepin Fetchit would have been good for American workers, but it was a 100 to 1 stupid idea, and it has already totally failed.

IF IT ISN’T A MACHINE IT ISN’T A WEAPON. Osama could see that the American military machine is really the American-industrial-Pentagon machine. An incestuous often self-serving matrix that has only gotten worse since General Eisenhower warned against it half a century ago. The Pentagon’s fatal flaw is the politically correct, and unquestionable sacred belief, that if it can’t be made in a factory than it’s NOT a weapon. The Pentagon’s sacred-of-sacred rule is that if it’s not a weapons system made in a factory, than anyone in the Pentagon thinking about non-tangible weapon systems is wasting their time and in dereliction of duty.

ONE OF THE MANY THINGS I WOULD DO. If I were the Secretary of Defense, I’d start a new program to give junior grade officers a voice. Anyone who was an officer, of any rank, could submit a paper. They would all me anonymous. They would be electronically submitted from computer stations where the sender could not be traced. They would all be posted in central file for every officer in the Pentagon to access, and read. They would be permanently stored by time and date of submission. If years later somebody wanted to say, “I wrote that,” they could. The Pentagon should have had a system like the about after we lost the Korean War, half a century ago.

Our gun industry really isn’t part of the mainline “military-industrial complex.” Our firearms industry does not have the money to give the kind of parties needed, or the money to hire retired officers. The Pentagon wastes hundreds of billions of dollars on Navy and Air Force toys. While the men who do the real fighting and dying started the Iraq disaster with Humvees that had canvas doors, 40-year old rifles with little more than a name change, very little body armor, and WWII obsolete top-down leadership doctrines that were NEVER supposed to be questioned.

BLACK HAWK DOWN. So day, when the honest history of the Iraq military disaster is written. It will be summarized as a giant “Black Hawk Down.” The only difference being Iraq and Black Hawk will have been 50,000 or 60,000 casualties, rather than 1000. I believe the casualty number is Iraq is already over 30,000.

BORN TO LOSE. Here’s the unwanted truth. Now, it’s crystal clear to the whole world (except the Washington power matrix) as to exactly how to defeat the American Army. Any American invasion of Iran, or Syria or Lebanon or wherever is going to run into exactly the same chaos weapons system, and it’s going to just as effective as it is in Iraq. The Pentagon cannot meet and defeat the chaos weapon in Iraq because what’s needed to defeat it is under the control of the politicians – and they are brain dead. What America has in Iraq is the un-capable (the Pentagon) being lead by the insane, President Bush.

DOING EVERYTHING WRONG. As of this writing, December 20th 2006, the word is that the White House wants to increase our American troop numbers in Iraq. They’d do this by extending the tour of everyone already in Iraq, and by fast rotating the Army Reserves in the USA back to Iraq. I will give you a 100% guarantee of what will happen. More American troops are only going to make the Osama bin Laden’s chaos weapon bigger. President Bush’s so-called “new strategy” is once again playing right into Osama’s trap. The correct strategy is the exact opposite. Cut the number of American troops we have in Iraq, right in half. Pull them out immediately. The fewer America troops we have in Iraq the harder it becomes to keep the chaos weapon going.

A-BOMBS FOR EVERYONE. America’s polices in the Middle East have been wrong for decades and it’s all coming apart. Washington is killing Americans, and spending hundreds of billions of dollars, to make the chaos worse. Iran will soon have atomic bombs. Egypt and Saudi Arabia have already decided to build atomic bombs. Pakistan already has atomic bombs. It’s a growing disaster.

THE BIG MEDIA LIE. America’s big media are NOT telling us the truth about the shooting war in either Iraq or Afghanistan. In Kabul, Afghanistan, only has five or six hours of electricity a day. Most of the public drinking water, in the whole country, is unsafe. Sanitation and waste plants are breaking down. Sewer systems are not working. The public school system is coming apart. Public health and hospitals are on the verge of collapse. The so-called government is riddled with corruption. “Religious schools” are teaching the kind of things I mentioned, in this column, in the October issue of AFI. 99% of the “public works” in Afghanistan have come to a halt. 90% of the world’s opium is coming out of Afghanistan – it’s another soon to arrive military defeat just like Iraq, and for the same reasons. The Pentagon’s “mission” from President Bush is to shoot our way back into yesterday. It’s NEVER going to work.

IS PAKISTAN NEXT? Pakistan has atomic bombs. With Afghanistan going under because of Washington’s totally wrong management. The question is, “How soon before General Musharraf is overthrown by the pro-al Qaedra Pakistani equivalent of our CIA? How soon before the “chaos weapon” is used in Pakistan?

U-2. Making an atomic bomb isn’t that hard. You need about 110 pounds of pure U-235, and after that it’s all simple plumbing. You fire a wedge of 30 pounds of U-235 into a hollowed out block of the remaining 80 pounds of U-235. That creates a critical mass, and that starts a chain reaction, and all the atoms split within a millionth of a second – boom!

BIGGER AND BETTER. Creating pure U-235 is a long and costly program, but basically very simple. In essence, you have to centrifuge a whole lot of Uranium ore. Plutonium, Pu-239, is also made from Uranium. The critical mass of Pu-239 is only 35.2 pounds, but bringing the Pu-239 all together to create the critical mass requires a more complicated arrangement.

HYDROGEN BOMBS FOR THE WORLD. If you have an atomic bomb, and you add deuterium and tritium, you are on your way to building a hydrogen bomb. If you have a pistol with tritium night sights, then you have part of what’s used in hydrogen bombs.

NEVER SAY DIE? The original dream of four years ago, the dream of an American controlled Iraq. Perhaps it was worth a shot, a gamble. However, that dream is dead. It’s over. Osama bin Laden’s plan for defeating the American Army in a shooting war has worked. We should have cut our losses two years ago. The original dream of four years ago, the dream of an American controlled Iraq. It would have been nice, but that dream has turned into a nightmare.

WE’LL PROVE OURSELF RIGHT BY TERMINATING ANYONE WHO SAYS WE’RE WRONG. In my opinion, America’s best Middle East general is four-star General Abizaid. An ominous sign is General Abizaid’s so to arrive “retirement.” What general “retires” in the middle of a battle? The retirement means he either has no confidence in the current failed plan, and/or he’s being removed to make room for a yes-man, ass kisser. This is like General Franks “retiring” immediately after the fall of Baghdad. He didn’t want to be any part of the disaster that was going to follow.

I’M NOT ANTI-WAR. If I were the American President it would have taken me about one second to recognize Osama’s trap in Iraq. What I would have done, in the Middle East, would have been 180 degrees different from what President Bush has done. I could have put the Middle East on the road to real peace. I could have won in Iraq. I’ve spent a good part of my life reading military history. I know more about military history than 95% of the Pentagon’s generals. In 1964 when I predicted America would lose the Vietnam war, I was right and all of the Pentagon’s generals were wrong. In the last 42 years - nothings changed. My total adult life has been spent either in the Army or the firearms business. I’m not against killing people. There are about three million scumbags inside the U.S.A. who should be killed.

MY PLAN WAS NEVER ABOUT RUNNING – IT WAS ABOUT WINNING. I’m NOT for America leaving the Middle East. I’m for staying and winning. Over three years ago I sent a letter to the total US Senate outline the way to both victory and peace in the Middle East. It was the correct plan three years ago. It is still the correct plan. It will continue to be the correct plan until finally used many years from now. The trouble with stupid people (i.e. the Washington D.C. power elite and especially General von Bush), is that stupid people can only learn by getting their teeth kicked down their throats.

WHO REALLY PAYS? The real tragedy is that a lot of young men and women who trusted their government (as mistake), will end up paying with their lives for Washington’s arrogance.

THE RULE OF HOLES. President Bush and the Pentagon generals have to learn the rule of holes: “When you find yourself in a deep hole, that’s in the middle of a shit bog - stop digging.”

GRAND STRATEGY. Civilizations/big movements/religions/ideas can be generally classified as, (1) ascending, (2) on a plateau, or (3) descending. Civilizations sometimes go up and down. Italy went down with the fall of Roman, but had a renascence starting around 1100 AD. China today is having a renascence. The Middle East Muslim world is having a massive renascence. In 5000 years of military history, only three significant civilizations or religions that were on the ascent or in renascence were ever defeated. In the few cases where they were defeat it was at such a cost to the winner both sides were crippled. America is a empire that is definitely DESCENDING. The Middle East Muslim world is definitely ascending and in renascence. American’s chances of turning back the clock in the Middle East are LESS THAN ZERO.

My strategy, as I outlined in letters to Congress three years ago, was (and still is) for America to become part of the Middle East renascence. Either to take it over, or at least become a major force in it’s direction. Then we would be going with the tide of history, rather than murdering more and more and more young Americans in a totally insane and suicidal attempt to bring back yesterday.

THE NEXT PRESIDENT? A few PGRA members have asked me, “Who do you think the Republicans should run for President?” I think the only Republican with a chance of beating Hillary is Rudy Giuliani. Let me go over the mathematics of American Presidential races. There are four key States for “electoral votes.” California, New York, Florida and Texas. Carry any three and you are President. Any “winner” MUST have at least two of the above four. If Giuliani runs, all he has to do is get 50% of the New York City vote and he’ll carry New York State because up-State N.Y. votes 60% Republican. With New York, the Republicans have a chance. On the other hand, anyone other than Giuliani, and Hillary starts in September 2008 with New York and California already in her pocket. Florida has more registered Democratic voters than Republicans. If the Republicans keep F***ing up, Florida will go Democratic in 2008. In Texas, during the Nov. 2006 Governor’s election, Republican Governor Rick Perry only got 39% of the vote. 61% of the votes went to the other three Democratic or Independent candidates for Governor, (NOT a good sign for 08). If Hillary chooses a strong person from either Florida or Texas as a VP, and carries either State, then Hillary and Bill are back into the White House.

THE ELECTION STARTS NOW. Our industry should get behind Giuliani, right now, and with as much support as possible. And, do not, send me notes about how, “Giuliani is not 100% pro-firearms.” That’s the way kids look at life. We have two choices, and ONLY two choices. It’s a choice between somebody who could win, Giuliani, even though he’s not 100% pro-firearms, or Hillary Clinton and an administration that would put back into power all the anti-gun left-wing trash.

THE TIME TO DO SOMETHING IS NOW. The gun industry is great for, “Well, we have to wait and see what’s happening.” If Hillary is elected, and all the anti-gun trash starts marching back into Washington for jobs, then, everyone in our industry will be screaming, “What do we do? What do we do?” I’ll give you the answer two years early. What we do then is bend way over and we can kiss our jobs, our stores, and our companies, and our ass - goodbye.

BAD COMPANY. Actually, I kind of like Hillary, and for America overall she couldn’t be worse than President Bush. To find the right solutions in the Middle East is easy. Just find out what President Bush thinks should be done, and then do the exact opposite. The problem with Hillary is she’d bring back all the left-wing trash that was in the first Clinton White House. I’m not anti-American, but I am very much anti-losing. A lot of the trash the Clinton’s had brought into Washington, that gang was genuinely anti-American. I don’t know what country they were loyal to, but it wasn’t America. With Hillary and Bill back in the White House all of the left-wing trash would return. Then, every problem in the known universe would once again be blamed on white men who work, go to church and own firearms. The only change would be that white men who really work, and are really creative and successful, they would be at the very top of the list of what’s wrong with the world.

I AM VERY OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE LONG TERM. Wonderful things will happen in this century. With a little luck and some common sense, magnificent things beyond our dreams will come true. However, I’m not so optimistic about the short run, and about America in the immediate future. America’s Middle East polices have been mainly wrong for 50 years. Since the fall of the USSR in 1992, they have been massively wrong. America is going down the wrong road and deeper into the dead desert. It’s not too late for President Bush to save himself and the Republican Party. President Bush has to find the courage to say, “I was wrong. I had a dream, and it would have been nice if it worked, but it’s over. We will do things differently.” Unfortunately, the current desperate gamble of “more troops” is the same old failed thing in the same old failed way. The only thing it will do is murder more Americans.

Don’t just set there, do something. You’re either part of the problem or you’re part of the solution. Too many young people in particular think that Washington’s mistakes won’t affect them. They are, and they will, big time. Old people like me will be dead in a few years, but young people will have to live in the America that Washington is messing up for the next 60 or 80 years. How smart do you have to be (now in December 2006) to see that what we’ve been doing in the Middle East for the past four years is all wrong, and it’s time for something totally different?

MISTAKES ARE NOT COST FREE
(Nov. 17th 06, Ft. Lauderdale) For the past four years I’ve been saying, “The arrogant jerks in Washington D.C. sincerely believe that mistakes are all cost free.” On November 7th 2006 the Republicans learned that mistakes are NOT cost free. The Republicans worked very hard to lose both the House and the Senate, and they succeeded.

I PREDICTED THE LOSS OF THE SENATE
Losing the Senate came as an especially big surprise to the brain dead Republican power elite. They should have been reading American Firearms Industry magazine. In the August 2006 issue of AFI, (by-lined July 24th 2006 on page 12), I wrote. “I’m predicting 3 chances out of 4 the Democrats will take the Senate.” In July 06 that was a better call than 98% of the high priced professionals were making. President Bush, a month before the election, said he was 100% sure the Republicans would keep the Senate.

THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR PARTY
I haven’t been happy with the Republicans. In the same August 2006 issue mentioned above, also on page 12, I wrote. “On issues of foreign policy, war and the Middle East the Republican Party has become the Knights Templar Party…I believe both God and the Devil are real. I also believe God doesn’t want us killing people, especially women and children. The excuses for killing women and children all come from the Devil. Those who do the Devil’s work usually have happy times for a while, but God always gets around to exacting a price.” Unfortunately, November 7th was only a down payment. I think the biggest price is yet to come.

I PREDICTED WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN IRAQ
Almost three years ago I outlined what would happen in Iraq. In the January 2004 issue page 62, of AFI, in an article that was actually written in 2003. I wrote, “Here is the bottom line on the Middle East. We are into the ninth crusade. There never was a military solution (for the West) to the first eight crusades. During the first eight crusades the West won many brilliant tactical battles in the Middle East, just like Iraq was a brilliant tactical win, but in the end the West left with a million dead soldiers on the battlefields….This ninth crusade does NOT have a military solution. Every Muslim in the Middle East knows the West lost the first eight crusades and they know that militarily we’ll eventually lose this ninth crusade. Ultimately there are no long-term military solutions for America. The American Army, like the European crusader armies before them, cannot expand into almost unlimited space with very limited troops. The European crusader armies were vastly superior in heavy attack armor but they couldn’t pin down the Muslims just like the heavily armored American Army (800 years later) could never pin down the North Vietnamese. In the first eight crusades the Muslims lost most of the battles until the great and powerful European crusader army bleed to death.”
At the time I wrote the above, three years ago, all the active duty Generals in the Pentagon were saying the war in Iraq was won. The CIA was officially saying it was won. I remember President Bush flying onto the aircraft carrier and declaring the war in Iraq over. To me, at the time, that was the perfect historical snapshot. A President, who was militarily totally wrong, surrounded by generals and admirals who were also militarily totally wrong, and with everyone standing on top of a useless and obsolete (but fantastically expensive) weapons system. That snapshot will be in all of the Great Military Mistakes textbooks 30 years from now.

I PREDICTED THE SADDAM HUSSEIN MISTAKE
At the time of the Iraq invasion the dim-wits in Washington were all saying Saddam Hussein was the problem and when he was gone we’d all live happily ever after, etc. In the April 2004 issue of AFI, on page 10, I wrote, “This March 2004 was the one-year anniversary of the Iraq invasion. If you read all of my columns before March 2003 you’d see I was very cool to the invasion idea….Over a year ago (before the invasion) I came to the conclusion that Saddam Hussein was definitely NOT the core Middle East problem and since he was not the core problem his death or removal would never be the core solution.”

I PREDICTED THE DICK CHENEY PROBLEM
After the recent election blood bath, many Republicans said Dick Cheney was, “ a serious problem and contributed to the election defeat.” Well, it’s easy to be an analysis after the ball game is over. Here is what I said 2 1/2 years ago, on page 36 of the August 2004 issue of AFI. “I love Dick Cheney, he’s one of the best friends the gun industry has. However, Mr. Cheney has to retire. If Bush and Cheney cling to the illusion that all the signs of discontent really don’t mean anything, they will both be despised men who were defeated by their own egos.” That was an accurate prediction for 2 1/2 years ago.

I PREDICTED WAL-MART DROPPING GUN SALES
Wal-Mart has recently announced it will discontinue firearms sales in another 800 stores. This on top of the 1000 stores discontinued earlier in the year. Within our gun industry, the first Wal-Mart product drop was handled with the usual denial and disbelief. The second recent drop is also a process of denial and disbelief. What did I predict? Back in 2003, over three years ago, in the October 2003 issue of AFI on page 38, I wrote, “What if the Democrats win in 2008? There is a high probability that the big Marts will dump firearms because a fight with the President of the United States isn’t worth 1/50th of 1% net profits….The Mart executives think and plan long term, and by 2008, I think most of them have already planned to be mainly out of the gun business. I think the Mart’s objective is to have their gun sales slowly fade away without their hunting customers noticing.” That was a fantastically accurate prediction for 3 1/2 years ago. It proves that the Wal-Mart analysis department assumed years ago that Hillary would win in 2008.

IN 2004, I PREDICTED THAT HILLARY CLINTON WOULD PROBABLY WIN IN 2008
Over 2 years ago, In the December 2004 issue of AFI, on page 36, I said, “My prediction for 2008 is that Hillary Clinton will run for President. At this time, November 2004, I think she has two chances out of three of winning in 2008.” Now, in November of 2006 I’d up the odds to three chances out of four. A Hillary win is not inevitable but the less we do the better her chances become.

HISTORY BOOKS DO EXIST. TOO BAD NOBODY IN WASHIGTON READS THEM
In the February 2004 issue of American Firearms Industry, on pages 36, 37 and 38, I wrote. “Right now we have about 150,000 troops in a country of about 25 million people, and it’s a country with a 6,000-year history of fighting wars. Out troop ratio to population (1 to 500), and our space ratios (1 to 1.1 sq. miles) are not good. We are dealing with a very tough people. In WWI the British in 1916 suffered a horrible defeat at Kut-al Amara, about a hundred miles south of Baghdad. The British General Townshend surrendered to the Turkish troops and Iraqi irregulars with 6000 surviving troops. Over half of them starved to death in prison camps. This part of the world never was Disneyland.

“After WWI, Turkey as Germany’s ally was defeated and the British occupied what is now Iraq and set up their headquarters in Baghdad. The British Army found itself in almost the exact military situation the American Army finds itself today. There was a very nasty insurgent-guerrilla war. Than as now, there was a relatively big local population with elements that were hostel and a relatively small British force.

“After four years of the British fighting the Baghdad guerrillas the British Army pulled out in 1922. As military trivia, it was the first major military troop airlift. The roads going south from Baghdad to the safe British territory, in Basra and Kuwait, were too dangerous for trucks to travel. The British declared victory and pulled out.

“So what’s my guess for this Ninth Crusade and Iraq? I’ve mentioned before that in 1964 I publicly predicted that America would lose the Vietnam War. Back n 1964 I said that if you are fighting a determined people, and that people will die for its cause, and if you cannot pin those people down because they have space to retreat back into, then America (or anyone) will lose for exactly the same military reasons the British lost the American Revolution. America won the revolution because Americans were willing to die for their cause, and with a great wilderness to retreat back into the superior British forces could never pin them down. The Christian West lost the first eight crusades for the same military reason. The Crusaders were vastly superior in heavy attack armor but they could never pin the Muslims down and the Crusaders eventually bleed to death.

“Al Queda isn’t even trying to win a classic old fashioned military victory. Al Queda’s main weapon is chaos. They are trying to bleed America to death financially. They are looking for a long term financial victory and as of now I think they have a 50-50 chance.” The above was actually written January 27th 2004, almost three years ago. At that time it was 100% better than the “analysis” that was coming out of either the Pentagon or the CIA. Even today, November 2006 as of this writing, I still don’t know if the people at the Pentagon get it.

AMERICAN HAS NOT WON A BIG SHOOTING WAR IN OVER HALF A CENTURY-WHAT’S WRONG?
Here’s my prediction for the American military. As a prologue, in the November 2004 issue of AFI, on page 35, I wrote, “I’ll be forthright about Iraq. I was not enthusiastic. In 1988 Dr. Peter Drucker, who in my view was one of the smartest people of the 20th Century, said, ‘Modern armies like America’s can win battles, but they can’t win wars. …Washington continues to flounder in the Middle East because it won’t change.” The Generals and Admirals have LOST every big shooting war for over half a century. We lost in Korea, we lost in Cuba, we lost in Vietnam, we lost in Columbia, and now we’ll lose in Iraq. What America has is the world’s best on-the-ground troops and the world’s worst Generals.

AMERICA’S SYSTEM IS FLAWED AT THE VERY TOP
The Pentagon system is inherently flawed. It is a systemically corrupt system and this is why America hasn’t won a big shooting war in over half a century. Up to the rank of Lt. Colonel, promotions depend on being an excellent manager and leader of men. From Colonel on up, promotions depend on ass kissing and irrational enthusiasm. An attitude of “Can Do,” is wonderful for a Marine platoon. It’s usually disastrous for a General Staff. With the current Pentagon accepted culture, with the current Washington D.C. paradigm. Active generals and admirals on the Joint Chiefs of Staff CANNOT go to the White House and say, “Mr. President, we have examined you recent military proposal in comparison to 4000 years of military and diplomatic axioms and history. We have compared those axioms and rules to your current proposal. With all due respect we’ve come to the conclusion that your ideas are about as viable as a cup of yesterday’s dog shit.”

TOO MUCH ASS KISSING, TOO LITTLE HONESTY
What’s happened during the last 45 years is that it makes no difference how stupid or delusional the White House’s military ideas might be. The American General Staff trucks over and tells the President that his ideas, “Have possibilities,” (i.e. kiss ass). Basically, the same thing applies to the CIA and FBI. The system is corrupt at its highest level. We have politicians who are military imbeciles, and active duty American generals who refuse to tell them they are military imbeciles. The current price for top-level ass kissing is 27,000 American casualties (and going up) in Iraq. A place of no strategic value whatsoever to the average American worker. And a place where any honest military analyst could have predicted defeat exactly as I predicted defeat before the war even started.

WHAT PRICE GLORY?
Yes, the war in Iraq got President Bush re-elected, but at what price? His re-election “glory” only lasted two years, and he’ll go down in the history books as a naïve simpleton who first swallowed the W.M.D. con game. Then swallowed the democracy-cure-all con game. And now he’s swallowing the terrorists are all Bonnie and Clyde con game. I want to scream, “Hey, there’s a blazing neon sign a 100 feet long and 50 feet wide. How fucking dumb do you have to be to not see it?”

I’M NOT ANTI-WAR
Let me clarify my position. I am NOT anti-war. I’m not against killing people. I am for the American Army staying in the Middle East. I’m for staying and wining, not staying and losing, and I am 100% certain we could win with the correct plan. I’m not a “peace at any price” person. I personally own 108 firearms. I love shooting. There are a lot of people who should be dead and I’d be overjoyed to see some of them dead. To be totally honest, I wouldn’t mind killing some of them myself. I’ll be dangerously honest. I’ve come to the conclusion that the only answers to the world’s problems are to bring the world’s total population down to under two billion people. And then stabilize that number. We shouldn’t kill anyone, but we can start by not paying for the breeding of millions of morons. What I’m against is LOSING. The war in Iraq does not bother me as a war. It bothers me because we never had a chance to win. Before Iraq we could have kept our bluff going for decades. But now, the world knows we can be defeated, and they know how to do it. Iraq is a major, grand-strategy lose. For the American people this loss will eventually have a big price.

WHAT’S NEEDED TO CORRECT THE MILITARY SYSTEM
It’s totally unrealistic to think the Pentagon’s culture is capable of change. What we MUST HAVE is a Grand Strategy Counsel. A group of people who will get top security clearance, but NOT be part of the Pentagon/Washington matrix. Recognized good analysis who don’t need to ass kiss to keep their main jobs and incomes. Who’s on the Counsel doesn’t even need to be public knowledge, but there must be some system so it’s not another group of ass kissers. Ideas like Iraq will go to them first, in total secret, for their assessment of principles, history and do-ability. They will make honest lists of costs and benefits, and risk and rewards. The generals at the Pentagon, rather than fight the above idea, should welcome it as a way to get them off the hock of perpetual defeat. Part of the 4,000-year history of warfare is that an empire can only lose so many wars before it bleeds to death.

HOW TO WIN IN THE MIDDLE EAST
I have a positive plan for America winning in the Middle East. Three years ago I started sending outlines of that plan to Congress. I wasn’t naive, I was sure nothing would happen for years. In the upside down world of Washington what’s wrong is right and what’s right is wrong. I was, and still am, correct but being right makes me wrong. The difference between smart people and dumb people is smart people can recognize the correct answers when they see them. However, dumb people have to get their teeth kicked down their throats a few times before they start to get the message. With the Republicans losing both the House and Senate. They are starting, just starting, to get the idea that their crack pot Middle East ideas. Middle East policies that are viewed as stupid by almost everyone in the world. Including the majority of American voters. They are just starting to get the idea that it’s not one million percent perfect.

DEMOCARCY, IS IT THE CURE ALL?
President Bush during the last three years has gave a lot of speeches about the joys of democracy, and how it’s a cure for everything. Now that voters (democracy) have sent a clear message to change policy in the Middle East will President Bush change? Or were all the nicey-nice speeches about democracy only bullshit? On November 7th an old lesson was re-learned, “You can’t make shoes out of bullshit.”

IT COULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT.
The Democrats didn’t win this election. The Republicans lost it. I’m sure that if President Bush had aggressively started implementing my Middle East peace plane two years ago. The House and Senate would still be Republican, and people all over the world would be wishing America success.

I OUTLINED AMERICA’S GRAND STRATED FLAW 18 MONTHS AGO. THE FUNDAMENTAL REASON WHY AMERICA WILL LOSE IN IRAQ, IN AFGHISTAN, AND EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE MIDDLE EAST

In the June 2004 issue of American Firearms Industry Magazine, on page 36, I wrote, “Invariable the big winner of the last major war develops weapons systems for yesterday’s war, and not tomorrows war. America’s ‘fire-power’ is mainly in the wrong weapons systems, built at great expense, to fight yesterday’s war. For example, America’s aircraft carrier groups, our billion dollars per airplane Stealth Bombers, our Hydrogen bombs, ICBMs, our nuclear powered submarines and so-forth. They are the wrong weapons systems built for the wrong war.” The main weapon of Osama bin Laden is chaos. All the things the Pentagon thinks of as assets: big machines, top-down iron command, over manipulation of troops, they are all playing right into the hands of the chaos weapon. In the Middle East there is not military solution, there are ONLY political solutions. However, the politicians in Washington are convinced that there are ONLY military solutions. For Washington, every problem in the Middle East has the same answer, murder more American troops. Murder as many people as possible, wherever and however you can. This only makes the chaos weapon bigger. The American Army in Iraq is the biggest supplier of power to Osama’s chaos weapon. The more American troops we send in, the bigger the chaos weapon will become.

“The Pentagon is a collection of very expensive and mainly useless Maginot Line like weapons systems for yesterday’s battles. Lest we forget, the North Vietnamese defeated the America military without having any aircraft carriers, battleships, submarines, tank divisions, or modern jet fighters or bombers. The North Vietnamese didn’t need any ‘modern’ weapon system to defeat the American Army. The Muslim guerillas in the Middle East also don’t need any big machines to once again defeat the American Army.”

“As mentioned in this column in past AFI issues, what our brave American troops need to win tactical battles, and to stay alive, is everything our firearms industry makes. Our firearms industry makes the right things for today’s war. You can’t sail a trillion dollar nuclear submarine fleet to Baghdad, or Teheran, or Damascus, or Kabul. You can’t torpedo a camel. It’s what’s on the floor of the SHOT Show that America needs for today’s battles: specialized ammo, advanced design rifles, handguns, good barrels, optics, lasers, knives, clothing, boots, cleaning equipment, and so-forth. What our industry sells is what will keep our brave American boys alive during tactical firer-fights in the Middle East. What’s on the floor of the SHOT Show gives our troops on the ground (our main weapons system in the Middle East) a percentage point advantage here, and another percentage point advantage there, and all the little advantages added together save American lives.”

“Same thing with internal homeland security, it’s what our industry makes. If the airlines pilots on 9/11 had handguns. A policy I fought for a quarter century ago, but was shot down by the control freak morons in Washington. If the pilots had only one $250 Charter Arms handgun per airplane, then the 6 billion dollar World Trade Center disaster would never have happened.”

IT’S NOT EASY, FUN OR SAFE BEING CORRECT
Over the last four years of complaining about what the Republicans were doing wrong, it was very, very, very lonely. The attitude of many people in the gun industry was, “If we don’t talk about anything bad than nothing bad can happen.” I was repeatedly attacked for, “not co-operating.” That’s been the line of attack for years, “Andy just doesn’t co-operate.”

ANDREW IS NOT ANTI-WAR. I’ve spent my total adult life, after college, either in the Army or in the firearms industry. I’m not against killing people. I’m not against wars per say. What I’m against is losing. Who’s the real “patriot?” The person who clings to a losing system that’s murdering young Americans every day and cost two billion dollars a week, and won’t admit he and she is wrong because it would be a discomfort to their bloated and arrogant egos? Or is the “patriot” somebody who says what’s clearly a mistake is a mistake and we need to do something better?

In Washington you have the “power commanders” who are by definition always correct. And then there is “everyone else” who by definition exists only to do what the “power commanders” command. In the real world, anyone who says a “power commander” is wrong is by definition a traitor to America – because the in the minds of the “power commanders) they are America. In the real world no “commander” can ever be wrong, and no “everyone else” can ever be right. This is the core problem in Iraq. The “power commanders” went to Iraq, and said, “Okay, were the boss, we are the power commanders. Where here to tell you want to do and you’re here to be our Stepin Fetchits.” Well, most of the men and women in Iraq said – “fuck you.” In Iraq there are 4,500,000 males between the ages of 16 and 29. If the “power commanders” want to murder their way to victory in Iraq, then the American Army is going to have to kill 5,000 young Iraqi men a day for the next three years.

I hope and pray that God can save the American people, because as of this writing very few in Washington are trying.

How To End “Terrorism” In America And Israel.

(August 14th 2006, Fort Lauderdale) General Wesley Clark, a 4 star general and former NATO supreme allied commander wrote in the August 10th issue of The Wall Street Journal. “The Iraq war was a mistake. Flawed intelligence, overly optimistic planning (or in some cases none at all) and grandiose geo-strategic designs combined with hyper-inflated rhetoric about democracy….The public hasn’t quite sorted it out but they know a failure when they see one. Iraq as well as the larger Middle East policy is a failure….Iraq isn’t Vietnam, America can’t just walk away without horrendous consequences, but ‘staying the course’ isn’t a strategy.”

James Webb, former secretary of the navy under President Reagan said the Iraq war was, “The greatest strategic blunder in modern memory.” He went on to say it was a bungled invasion of the wrong country for the wrong reasons. Some 1600 USA intelligence financed operatives went over millions of captured Iraqi government documents looking for any Iraqi/Saddam connection and found zero evidence of any Iraqi part in 9/11. This evidence was kept classified and secret for over two years and was only very quietly made public a few weeks ago. Who was it being kept secret from, and why? It was being kept secret from the American public so the official Washington disinformation could continue.

The provable facts are: (1) there never was an Iraqi “weapons of mass destruction” WMD program, and (2) there never was an Iraq connection to 9/11. It was all a set-up that naïve President Bush swallowed hook, line and sinker.

The WMD supposed program was a total set up. Unfortunately the 25,000 American military casualties (and still going up) our brave troops have suffered in Iraq to this point are very real.
Thousands of young American fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, sons and daughters have come back from Iraq in body bags, and for exactly what? Overall things are worse for American than four years ago.

The “weapons of mass destruction” scam was a con game set up and inflicted on the USA by some of America’s so-called “friends.”

Here’s the FACT SHEET on Iraq right now, August 2006. (1) An inflation rate of 70%. The economy is on the road to disaster. (2) An unemployment rate over 50%. In 1933 American’s unemployment rate was only 25% by comparison. (3) The “Democracy” America has brought Iraq has joined the Iraqi Shiites and Iranian Shiites and paved the road for a future Iraq/Iran military alliance. (4) There are over 3,000,000 unemployed Iraqi males age 17 to 30 who have no jobs, no money but an ocean of hatred towards America. For every “terrorist” we kill 3 will take his place.

FACT: All over the world people with compassion and good moral ethics are looking at the “democracy” and “freedom” President Bush has brought to Iraq and Lebanon and they are all saying, “The democracy and freedom the Americans have brought to Iraq is a Hell on Earth that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.”

Two thing you can say about President Bush: he’s totally consistent and he never saw a Middle East con game set up by our “friends” he didn’t totally buy into. After totally falling for the WMD scam, and the Iraqis caused 9/11 scam, President Bush then totally fell for the democracy scam. A scam put together by some of the same people who built the other scam! President Bush became a born again true believer in the ability of democracy, the new religion, to magically solve every Middle East problem.

Let’s go to a higher expert, Jesus Christ. The Greeks invented democracy (demoskratia) in the 6th century BC. The Greek words demos (the people) and kratia (rule). Democracy was already over 500 years old when Jesus was born. Alexander the Great had conquered the Holy Land, and what is now Turkey, Syria, Egypt and all of Mesopotamia over 300 years before Christ was born. Greek history, customs, philosophy, architecture and culture were widely known. “Israel” and all of Palestine was a commonwealth of Rome when Jesus was born and during all of Jesus’ life. Rome was a Democracy/Republic from 509 BC to 31 BC.

Jesus Christ knew Greek and Roman history and knew about democracy. However, nowhere in the Bible does Jesus talk about the need for democracy. Democracy is not mentioned by anyone, even once, in the Bible. This is NOT a mistake. Jesus understood the flaws of democracy. Democracy always eventually produces a revolution and then a dictatorship. Sometimes it takes hundreds of years as in Rome and Greech, but it comes. The end will come much sooner in America. I’d say in the next 30 or 40 years. Today in the Holy Land universal voting rights democracy isn’t the solution it’s the problem.

President Bush has built “democracy” into a false god and he’s making blood sacrifices on the Alter of the false god. President Bush’s democracy has become a god like communism used to be a god for the communists. The communism false god destroyed Russia’s economy and the Middle East/President Bush democracy false god is destroying America’s economy.

I’ve come to the conclusion that American democracy won’t survive this century. In America the Democratic Party is already killing democracy. Democracy is self destroying, when the politicians (Democrats) realize they can steal the money of the small number of hard working and productive people and use that money to buy the votes of the much bigger number of lazy porch monkeys, then “democracy” on the road to revolution. Eventually there’s going to be a revolution in America and after the revolution voting will be limited to people with proven competent.

I voted for President Bush both times. President Bush has the correct domestic ideas and policies. He’s a man who means well but he’s totally naïve on international/military history and he won’t learn. He’s consistently conned by people he mistakenly thinks are his friends. On the other hand, the Democrats are mainly fascists who sincerely believe every problem has only one solution, more big government and more terrorist attacks on productive Americans. What the Democrats are doing now is the reason why Jesus Christ never endorsed “democracy.”

President Bush insanely babbles on and on about, “democracy, democracy!” President Bush’s democratic approval rating is 30%. That means 70% of the American people are “democratically” telling President Bush to change his ways. The vast majority of world leaders are “democratically” telling President Bush to change his ways. President Bush should follow his own words and respect the “democratic wishes” of the American and world’s people. There’s still time to do the right thing if he has the courage to change.

The greatest management genius of the 20th century, Dr. Peter Drucker, said, “A mistake only turns into a truly destructive mistake when it becomes clear it’s a mistake but you keep doing the same thing.” America’s so-called strategy in the Middle East is clearly a mistake and it’s time for something totally different.

Over two years ago in the June 2004 issue of AFI on page 38, I wrote. “The Pentagon wants to fight a high-tech war with high-tech systems because that’s where the Pentagon is strong. But the Muslim guerillas aren’t stupid. They are not going to play our game with our rules. This ninth crusade is a low-tech war and very winnable by the guerillas just like the Vietnamese won with low-tech weapons.”

A few years ago Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld asked Four Star General Abizaid to take the Army’s top job, Army Chief of Staff. General Abizaid, who speaks fluent Arabic and graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Middle East studies, turned Rumsfeld down saying he disagreed with the technology-focused view of warfare that dominated the Pentagon. He said America needed a people/cooperation related strategy and wanted to be in the field.

In 1964 I predicted America would lose the Vietnam War and said so very openly. I was arrested by the FBI and it was made very clear to me those in power don’t like to be told they’re wrong. The charges were political BS and totally dropped but I got the message. I spent the next two years hiding in Asia.

The difference between a long lived prophet and a short lived prophet is long lived prophets know that for 5000 years governments have “proven” themselves correct by killing anyone who said they were wrong. I was always certain we’d lose in Iraq but now there are enough other people on the radar screen for me say what I always knew would happen. We are at the point where possible somebody might be willing to listen to the real solutions, and I certainly hope so.

Back in 1965 it should have been clear to anyone with a real understanding of grand strategy that the war in Vietnam was already lost, but it went on for another 10 years! Like Vietnam do we really have to kill another 40,000 young Americas to get the point?

In the first half of the 20th Century military historians have described the German Army as: “They won dozens of totally brilliant tactical battles but never won a war.” And, “They never knew when they were militarily defeated.” In the last half of the 20th Century the American Army has become the German Army. It’s time to change.

In 1968 I wrote “Andrew’s Military Axiom”. In the February 2005 issue of AFI on page 5, I wrote. “Back in 1968, the year I left the Army and went into the firearms industry, I wrote Andrew’s Modern Military Axiom, Parts One and Two. This was (is) the grand strategy principle I believed governed (and still governs) the American military from the end of WWII into the future. The Axiom states: (Part I) The American military can fight almost any enemy, almost anywhere in the world and win any short term battle. (Part 2), The American military, except with the smallest and most isolated locations cannot decisively win any long-term shooting war.” In other words, American can win any tactical battle anywhere, but cannot militarily win any large area shooting war anywhere. This is exactly what is happening in Iraq. The American Army has been in Iraq as long as America’s part in WWII and we are going nowhere! Exactly the same would happen if we invaded Iran, or Syria, and so forth. Let’s stop redoing and redoing what isn’t working and do something different.

General Abizaid, mentioned in the above copy, is now the head of U.S. Central Command and oversees all the U.S. military effort in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East. In this area he commands all soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, and he’s one of the most respected officers in the military. He has had the courage to say, “Military power can gain us time…but that’s about it.” He also said, “The best way to contain al Qaeda is to increase the capacity of the regional powers to deal with it themselves.”

General Abizaid is 100% correct, however, for the “regional powers to deal with it themselves” we have to change what’s failed and is failing to something different. General Abizaid has the correct basic idea of building rather than destroying. However, with all due respect, there is a failure of imagination and courage. We need to take General Abizaid’s idea and multiply it by 1000. That’s possible, doable, and realistic for a lot less blood and money than we are wasting now. I will give you the detailers in this article.

Immediately before the ground attack on Baghdad, President Bush talked about the coming great victory for “democracy”. I remember looking at the world map, and looking at Iraq right in the middle of an enormous Muslim world and thinking to myself, “This looks like America’s DienDienphu to me. Too few troops going too deep into hostel territory with brain dead leaders who have total misconceptions of what’s happening or why.”

What is the root cause of America’s “terrorist” problems? What’s making more and more young Muslim men and women strap bombs to them selves? What’s turning most of the world against America? Why are we losing everywhere?

President Bush says, “The terrorist hate America’s freedom and democracy.” America’s matrix of lies says hatred of freedom is the “terrorist’s” motivation for the increasing number of suicide bombers.

Here’s what I think, if you went to the Sahara Desert and you wrote “stupid” across every grain of sand in the Sahara Desert it wouldn’t be enough stupid to describe the insanity of saying “terrorism” is motivated by a hatred of democracy and freedom. It’s the exact opposite: terrorism is motivated by a lack of justice, fair play and compassion.

There are many currents of hatred and conflict in the Middle East but the mother of all Muslim “terrorism” against America is the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza Strip.

America’s Matrix of Lies says the West Bank and Gaza Strip are “independent free territories.” Sure, that’s like sincerely believing the formerly racist government of the South Africa created Swaziland as an “independent free territory.”

In truth the West Bank and Gaza are large concentration camps full of misery, hopelessness and de facto slavery. The basic facts are mind numbing: a poverty level of 75%, an unemployment rate of 60%, a yearly average income of less than $800 per person, and young children 8 and 9 years old systemically shot down in the streets day after day, year after year and decade after decade. “Government” in the West Bank and Gaza is mainly the murder of anyone the US power elite doesn’t like. There are no arrests or charges or trials, it’s government via assassination. Those who are arrested are held in jail for years without charges or a trial. Anyone accused of a crime against the occupation has their home destroyed. Israel collects the taxes but won’t give any of the money to the Palestinian prison management. There’s no money to pay the police, fire fighters, teachers, doctors, etc. Haiti and Somalia are modern Hellholes but life there is good compared to the West Bank and Gaza.

America was giving a little money to the West Bank and Gaza. However, the Palestinian’s had a fair, open, and honest “democratic election” and they elected some people President Bush didn’t like. President Bush has let the world know that elections are only “democratic” if they elect the people Mr. Bush wants elected. So President Bush “democratically” cut off food money to almost a million women and children.

Let’s imagine President Bush setting in the White House, and saying to himself, “Why in the world would anyone find anything wrong with the above? The only people who would have any objection to children being machine gunned down in the streets are people who are inherently evil and criminal.”

Here’s the truth the power elite in Washington haven’t the courage to face. The Nazi occupation of Warsaw in 1943 was basically the same as what’s happening today in the West Bank and Gaza. Yes, that not the way we see it in America but it’s the way the 1.4 billion Muslims see it.

Young Muslim men and women in the 1.4 billion people Muslim world look at the West Bank and Gaza Strip and see religious and racially motivated genocide in slow motion. They see government via assassination. They see mass slavery. They are morally outraged to the point of becoming self-bombs. Their numbers and attacks will grow and grow until the root cause of their moral outrage is addressed and we start on a road to just and fair solutions.

A young Muslim “terrorist” might look at Gaza and say to him or herself. “Men are created with certain unalienable rights and whenever any form of government becomes destructive of those ends it is the Right of the people to abolish it.”

Four Star General Abizaid has said, “I just think we’ve got to reform our structure, our authorities and our thinking to deal with the way the world is moving. You just can’t let these places deteriorate…unless you are willing to accept what they bring you – terrorism.” Amen.

The Bible says, “Those who plow iniquity and sow wickedness will reap the same.” Job 4.8. We have sowed wickedness and death in the West Bank and Gaza and we are reaping what we sowed. It’s time to change our ways.

The brilliant and famous psychiatrist, Erick Fromm, a writer that I have read and reread all my life, said, “Those individuals, social conditions and governments that make for suppression of life produce a passion for destruction and revenge.”
What is the West Bank and Gaza today if not a “suppression of life”?

Some people might ask, “The Muslim governments have lots of oil money so why don’t they do something for the Palestinians?” They are doing something. They’re leaning back and watching while America and Israel destroy themselves. Wake up and smell the coffee. They all have at least a little sympathy with Osama bin Laden and they all want at least some revenge, and the more Muslims we kill the more they will want revenge.

The U.S.A. Titanic is heading full steam towards the rocks. The passengers are opening Champagne, laughing and dancing but it’s time for Captain Bush to hard turn the wheel towards common sense.

About 98% of the American people were surprised by 9/11 but what surprised me is it didn’t happen 30 years sooner. The reason it didn’t happen 30 years soon is because as much as the Muslim activists hated America/Israel they hated the USSR even more. After the USSR was officially gone in 1992 it was only a year later when the World Trade Center was first attacked in 1993. Six people were killed and over 1000 were injured.

I had a vision of 9/11 back in 1975. I went to Washington and started lobbing for airplane cockpit security doors and for arming commercial airline pilots. Well, I was treated like some kind of criminal who just hadn’t gotten around to committed murder, yet. I had one senior BATF person say to me, “Arming pilots is the most ridicules idea I’ve ever heard.” A few months after returning home (Chicago in those days) the IRS showed up at our organization for a surprise audit. Our tax records and payments were perfect and we sailed through the audit but I got the message. Do not tell those in power they are wrong even if they are 1000% percent wrong.

What I learned many decades ago is the power structure in Washington DC (and the world in general) is not about what’s good or bad for the average worker, it’s all about dominance-submission. What makes the government more dominant is by definition correct. Arming airline pilots in 1975 (non-government people) would have made a non-government person less submissive and that by definition was wrong. The power elite in Washington will only change something AFTER a lot of people die, and not even then if it significantly reduces the government’s dominance.

Here’s the real-world balance sheet on 9/11. Through the wonders of Washington DC “management” in Iraq they’ve taken the 9/11 casualty-list and increased it by over 400% with the deaths/injuries still going up every week. Government “management” has taken the 5 billion dollar World Trade Center lose and turned it into a 150 billion dollar lose with the lose going up by 2 billion dollars a week! Much of that 2 billion per week is money borrowed from Muslims! Washington DC “management” has taken the worldwide sympathy America had after 9/11 and turned it into worldwide hatred against America. How much more of this insanity can the American worker survive? Isn’t it about time to do something totally different? What the average American worker needs for his/her long-term survival is a 180-degree turn around from what we’re doing now.

President Bush and the Washington power elite have to learn the “First Rule of Holes.” The First Rule of Holes says, “When you find yourself in a deep hole in the middle of a shit bog - stop digging.”

The #1 rule of effective problem solving is you MUST to 100% honest. You cannot be eyeball deep in self-delusion. All over the world people are looking at Iraq and Palestine and saying, “This democracy and freedom President Bush has created is a Hell on earth I would not wish on my worst enemy.” It’s time for a change.

So, what’s the solution? General Clark is 100% correct when he says. “Staying the course isn’t a strategy.” The definition of insanity really is the repetition of what isn’t working. We need a plan with imagination and courage. Something totally different from all the usual failed things that have failed for 40 years, and will only fail again. We need to think out of the box. We have to stop coming up with yesterday’s solutions for today’s problems. We have to stop pounding yesterday’s square pegs into today’s round holes. We need a plan based on construction rather than murder. We need a plan with good old-fashioned street smarts. We need a plan that Jesus would approve.

One of the basic military/political axioms is, “If your plan is a failure, then making it bigger will only give you a bigger failure.” This is what Iraq already is, a bigger failure. Yesterday’s failure we are making bigger. Murdering even more people isn’t going to change it from failure to success. You don’t make people love you by murdering their fathers, mothers, wives, husbands and brothers and sisters. If you could people love you by burning down their homes and starving their children than Adolf Hitler would have been the most loved person of the 20th Century. If you win wars by killing as many people as possible than Hitler would have won WWII.

Time is definitely not on the side of America and Israel. American’s military effort in Iraq is coming apart and Israel was just defeated in Lebanon. Both America and Israel are losing the will to fight. We still have leverage to push programs through but our leverage will only last a few more years.

Suppose there was a solution where the Holy Land could be both at piece and rich? Suppose it could be an international center of business and creativity with major corporations from all over the world having offices there, and it became a highly desirable place for rich and creative people to live. Suppose it could be a true land of milk and honey that Jesus would be proud to call his birthplace. Would this be worth something to the world? Would this be a goal America could be proud of? Would we be doing God’s work rather than the Devil’s work?

Suppose we had a Middle East that consistently promoted the idea that it’s the Judao/Christian/Muslim religion. There are hundreds of similarities between the Christian and Muslim religions and rather than emphasis the differences we emphasized the common ground? Would that be better for America?

Personally, I believe it’s all the same God. To me there’s only one universe and one God. God in the universe probably has tens of thousands of different names, and God looks at the big picture. The name and detail differences God uses are very important to small town ministers with small minds, but God has a larger view of the universe.

Getting back to a workable peace here and now, the above is definitely possible and doable. It’s doable for a lot less money and blood than America and Israel have spent in the last three years.

For the above to happen, Jews, Muslims and Americans will all have to change some now treasured but self-destructive attitudes. A lot of things people in the Middle East perceive as valuable are really destructive ego status symbols. Egos will have to take a back seat to peace and prosperity. Choosing life will have to win out over murder and revenge.

The governments of the European Union, America and the big governments of the world will have to give the Holy Land real freedom. Governments do not like real freedom but they’ll have to give a little on their egos and make the Holy Land an exception. All the above will be very hard mentally, but physically it’s all easily done.

On the other hand, I’m 100% certain that the road we are on now if unchanged will take us to the total destruction of Israel. Without significant changes Israel has no future and won’t survive to even mid-century. Israel is the ideal nuclear target. Thirty short-range rockets armed with nuclear warheads and coming in a surprise attack would kill 80% of the Jewish population in Israel within 10 minutes. Unless there are significant changes the total destruction of Israel isn’t an “if” but only a “when.”

Yes, some of Israel’s nuclear bombs, airplanes and rockets would survive and 300 or 400 million people would die in the counter attack. So then the total world would be plunged into a new dark ages, and everyone in the world would turn against the surviving Americans and Jews. The Jews in Israel not killed in the nuclear explosions would be attacked from all sides and murdered. It would be a new holocaust and the State of Israel would never return. Jews around the world would be attacked and many would be killed. America would become the world’s pariah and we’d have an internal revolution.

Here’s the solution for avoiding all of the above. Before immediately running away screaming, keep your mind open and spend a few days thinking about what I’m going to say. Rather than thinking about what’s wrong with the plan, think about what’s right with it, and how it constructively addresses the core problem of the West Bank, Gaza and builds real freedom.

(1) The area that is now Palestine, including Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, will be transformed into the Holy Land Free State. (2) There will be a new Constitution with total and complete separation of government administration and all religions. The Constitution would be guaranteed by the full faith of both the EU, the USA and as many Muslim nations as possible (3) The Holy Land Free State will become a commonwealth of the European Union and America. (4) There will be no elections. Jews won’t have to worry about too many Muslim voters and the other way around. There won’t be election with political demagogues exploiting problems and differences. There won’t be a pack of demagogical politicians, either Jewish, Muslim or Christian, appealing to prejudices rather than rationality. Administration will be through a board of governors appointed by the EU and the USA. The “model” will be a combination of British Hong Kong, British Singapore, the Cayman Islands and Monaco. Everyone will be equal and have equal rights in the eyes of the law. (5) Land courts will be set up to resolve all past and outstanding land ownership issues between Jews and displaced Muslims. The “loser” in each case will be paid 300% the current market value of the disputed land by the commonwealth administration. The 300 billion dollars the USA has already wasted in Iraq could have already resolved this issue. (6) There will be no personal or corporate taxes for 10 years, with the “great powers” agreeing at the very start to a Constitutional permanent 8% tax cap on personal and corporate earnings within the Holy Land Free State. (7) The Holy Land Free State will be deliberately turned into a tax haven and the great powers will all agree to tolerate this tax haven. (8) Major world corporations would be encouraged to relocate their headquarters into the Free State, and the great powers would agree to permanently tolerate the tax loses to them. (9) The Holy Land Free State would not have an army or nuclear weapons. Both NATO and the USA would guarantee the Holy Land Free State’s military security. Counties like Iran could not say, “If Israel has nuclear weapons than we can have nuclear weapons.” We would avoid the now coming Middle East nuclear weapons expansion, and all of the Middle East would be declared a nuclear free zone. (10) Funds will be spent to transform the Free State into a vacation and entertainment world center, an education center with the construction of new universities, and a world creative center for design, scientific research and the electronic arts.

The above is a true and new “strategy” for taking Israel off the road to nuclear destruction and turning it into a fabulously rich land of milk and honey. It’s a strategy for destroying one of the biggest engines of Muslim terrorism worldwide. It’s choosing life rather than murder and revenge.

Albert Einstein’s most famous saying is, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” President Bush’s and the Washington power elite’s “solution” is the same old failed level of consciousness of trying to make the Gaza and West Bank concentration camps work. No amount of future murders, bombings and intimidation are going to turn the concentration camps into successes. They will continue to be fountainheads for worldwide terrorism. What the American people desperately need is leadership that has a totally new and higher level of consciousness. The current American “plan” for the Middle East has been wrong for over 40 years. It’s time for a change.

Newt Gingrich the former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives has said, “Five years have passed since the horrific attack on our American homeland and we are today, not where we wanted to b e and nowhere near where we need to be. We have to be honest about how big this problem is and then design new, bolder and more profound strategies to secure American national security in a very dangerous 21st century.” The key word in Mr. Gingrich’s statement above is “bold.” Bold is not one more totally unimaginative rehash and/or remix and/or re-warming of what’s already failed dozens of times over the last 40 years. A “bolder and more profound strategy” is just that, a totally new strategy with bold courage and profound imagination. The above outlined Holy Land Free State is “bold,” “new,” “profound” and it is a “strategy” for reducing the wellsprings of terrorism.

What drives me crazy is Washington’s insistence on violating every military and diplomatic rule of the last 5000 years. One of the most basic military/diplomatic rules is this: “You cannot militarily defeat a significant people/nation/culture when that people/nation/culture are in their ascending historical phase.” For example, this is why Germany easily defeated Russia in WWI, but despite the most massive and brutal efforts in modern warfare couldn’t defeat Russia in WWII. The 1.4 billion Muslim World is in ascent and is militarily unbeatable. There is no pure military solution for America in the Middle East.

When Jesus talked of “Israel” he was talking about a kingdom of religion, a kingdom of the mind and spirit. Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus or anyone else say Israel had to be a political state like Rome was a political state. When Israel declared it’s independence in 69 AD and became a political state it was destroyed. From 70AD to 1948 there was no State of Israel. During that time Christianity became the largest religion in the world. However, now we have right-wing Christian religious fanatics saying America cannot exist unless the State of Israel exists as a political entity. What’s wrong with this picture? America became the strongest country in the world between 1776 and 1948 but now America cannot exist unless the concentration camps of Gaza and the West Bank are made bigger?

The enemies of progress and life will say pull out the old chestnuts, “This is anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.” The Holy Land Free State is a plan that would bring real peace to the Jews, real prosperity and real safety. On the on other hand, a continuation of what we have will bring total death to both the State of Israel and all the Jews in the Middle East.

The objective of everyone today in the Middle East is still “dominance.” Who’s going to dominate whom, and who’s the ruler and who’s the slave. We have to leave this failed and grubby way of looking at the world and move to a world of cooperation, justice for everyone, the rule of law for everyone, fairness for everyone and a society that finds its common ground.

The above Holy Land Free State is a no loss strategy for the USA. As soon as we say we are serious about doing the above we’ll capture the moral high ground. We’ll give Muslim “moderates” a reason to support America and give them arguments to counter the Muslim radicals. A prosperous Holy Land would be an example to the total Muslim world. This is the way to bring the Middle East into the 21st century, with honey, not barbed wire. Even if it never came to pass we’d fail trying to do Gods work.

We are fighting the 9th crusade. God gave victory to the Muslims in the first 8 crusades because God does not want the Holy Land ruled with a sword. God wants love, co-operation and friendship in the Holy Land. God has been sending we Christians a message about the Holy Land for a 1000 years, let’s listen.

As we all know, some groups of Christians, Jews and Muslims will be violently apposed to the above plan of peace and construction. They won’t see the wonderful world they would gain. They’ll only see the worthless and self-destructive status symbols they’ll have to give up. There are powerful and popular “Christian” leaders in the USA who think there should be a nuclear war in the Holy Land because that will kill everyone and bring the second coming of Christ. They view a nuclear war and the “Rapture” with God. There are also Muslims who thing there should be a nuclear war because that will bring back the lost Imam. Well, you can call be crazy, call me anti-Semitic, call me radical and anti-Christian, but I sincerely don’t think a nuclear war is an especially good idea.

I can trace my family history back 3000 years to the Amorites, so I’m of Semitic ancestry. Almost everyone who sees me thinks I’m Jewish. The argument goes around about who owns the Holy Land, if I wanted to be silly I could play that game too and say it’s my land. However, it’s a lot more productive to say it’s God’s land, and it’s our job to hold it in trust and peace for God.

We do NOT have a lot of time, in the Middle East we are setting on a powder key with everyone lighting fuses. There are tens of millions of American “Christians” who are looking forward to the Rapture (i.e. almost everyone dying). There are tens of millions of Muslims looking forward to martyrdom. We need a new road, new objectives and some big changes, and fast.

Certainly many narrow-minded people in Washington will say, “The Holy Land Free State still doesn’t solve the basic Sunni/Shiite Middle East conflict.” True, and neither did the American invasion of Iraq, (it made it much worse) and neither does the West Bank and Gaza concentration camps (they are making it worse). However, the Free State plan is a giant step towards taking the American people OFF of the firing line. The Sunnis and Shittes will fight it out but we don’t have to put the American people right in the middle of a coming nuclear war. Ask yourself this, “How much terrorism is there in Switzerland?” The answer is, “none,” because the Swiss are not killing hundreds of their own soldiers and spending tens of billions of dollars to be right in the middle of every Sunni-Shiite fight.

As to nuclear weapons, nuclear bomb technology is over 60 years old. If you have U235 you have an atomic bomb, you shoot a wedge of U235 into a pocket of U235 and you have a nuclear explosion. This is how the Hiroshima bomb worked.

America cannot stop the spread of nuclear weapons but it can help to create conditions where nations feel it is in their best interests to not have atomic bombs and this is the objective of the Free State. The UK, France, India, China etc all have nuclear bombs but we do not worry about them because we have created conditions of cooperation and peace.

When Jesus was born, “Israel” was the commonwealth of a great European power. Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus specifically say that was wrong. There are Biblical scholars who say Jesus hinted, in many ways, that the commonwealth was right. The same scholars have said Jesus hinted that a totally independent Israel would be destroyed. In fact, when Israel declared its independence in AD 69-70 it was destroyed. Certainly Jesus would want us to choose life and prosperity over ego/status/revenge driven endless war and the eventual total destruction of Israel.

There are Christians looking to create conditions for a “second coming of Jesus.” If so, than the Holy Land should be a commonwealth of a great European power (the EU today) like it was when Jesus was first born and lived.

The current war today is the 9th crusade. It’s a continuation of the 1000-year old crusade between Christians and Muslims. However, this 9th crusade is new in that it’s also a crusade between Old Testament Christians and New Testament Christians. The Christian religion has a spectrum and is divided between two kinds of Christians. At one end of the spectrum are the New Testament Christians (like myself) who believe the teachings of Jesus are about love, forgiveness, friendship and community. At the other end of the spectrum are Old Testament “Christians” who sincerely believe Jesus is about righteous vengeance, imperial conquest, authoritarian rule and the “Rapture.” A lot of Christians are religiously schizophrenic and bounce between one end of the spectrum and the other end depending on who’s talking to them at the time.

I believe God is real and I believe the Devil is real. I also believe those so-called “Christians” who preach war and say Jesus wants us to be killing women and children and building bigger and better concentration camps, I believe those “Christians” have been captured by the Devil and are doing the Devil’s work in Christ’s name.

So, will President Bush find the courage to change” The courage to choose life and construction over murder and destruction?

I had a vision the other day. The vision included President Bush but he was more than President Bush. He was symbolic of the whole Old Testament Pax Americana power elite. He was symbolic of what America is doing in the world right now, the imperial American that wants to command and what’s the rest of the world to obey.

In my vision President Bush was standing next to Adolf Hitler who was in full military uniform. They were both on top of Mount Ararat watching the sunset.

Hitler glanced up at the sky and said. “For me the most beautiful thing in the world is the sight of a great city in flames.”

President Bush kept looking at the sunset. “Yes, today Baghdad and Beirut, tomorrow Teheran and then the world.”

Hitler glanced towards the President. “Most people think being the leader of many nations is hard but it’s really all very simple.”

President Bush’s eyes narrowed. “Every international problem has the same solutions, more boots on the ground, more bombs in the air and more blood in the street. No sacrifice is too great for the glory of the empire.”

A small smile came to the corner of Hitler’s lips. “You cannot be a great leader of men and bring great improvements to the world without a great flow of blood. Only heroic acts of cleansing can purify our evil world.”

The President’s eye’s glassed over. “The river of blood will run wide and deep and I will save humanity from the extremes of radicalism.”

Hitler put his arm on the shoulder of the President and whispered into his ear. “Be strong my friend, be strong and purify mankind with fire, blood and steel. I give you this promise, the Prince of the world will smile down on you and your people and your empire will live for a thousand years.”

The last rays of the sunset sank below the horizon and darkness filled the void.

EPILOG

I know what’s going to happen in the future. The Holy Land Free State will come into existence as outlined above. However, it won’t come into existence until after something horrible happens to America. This is going to be a re-play of my 1975 attempt to arm airline pilots. The power elite in Washington will only “get it” AFTER the American people get- it where it really hurts.

CHANGE OR DIE: Iraq

(Key Largo, September 14th 2006) The Chinese have many wonderful sayings, one of my favorites is, “The beginning of wisdom starts by calling things by their right name.” The word(s) “terrorism” and “war on terror” are used a lot in America. Here is the real world definition of “terrorism.” If somebody you do not like for religious, racial or culture reasons is killed it’s called, “fighting for freedom.” If somebody you do like for religious, racial or culture reasons is killed it’s called, “terrorism.”

“Terrorism” has real world causes, terrorism is NOT the cause of terrorism any more than Nazism was the cause of
Nazism or communism was the cause of communism or democracy is the cause of democracy. For years we in our industry have heard, “Guns are the cause of crime and when guns are gone we won’t have any crime.” Guns are not the cause of crime and terrorism is not the cause of terrorism.

I’ll give you an example of a real, actual, root cause of terrorism. A real world wellspring of terrorism, an example of what causes people to become “terrorists.” There are dozens of “education tapes” created by al Qaeda. These tapes are duplicated by a network of supporters in thousands of schools and religious clubs and turned into tens of thousands of tapes. They are shown in schools, private homes, etc to tens of millions of Muslim young people. They are “low tech communications” but highly effective and impossible to stop.
Aside from that, many governments in the Middle East tell the American government what it wants to hear but many people in power, all over the Middle East, (police chiefs, judges, mayors, etc) are sympathetic towards the “terrorists.”

What’s on the tapes? Pictures of hundreds of Iraqi children starving during the “sanctions” put on Iraq after 1992. Hundreds of miles of concentration camp barbed wire around the West Bank and Gaza. Dozens of specific examples of government by assassination, with homes and cars bombed from the air to kill any protest leaders, and no concern given to the children and women around the “targets.” Pictures of small, now orphaned, Muslim children, their parents, who had no connected to the assassinated person in the street as “collateral damage,” dead. Pictures of people saying things like, “The only good rag head is a dead rag head,” and “They’re all just sand niggers and they should all die.” The videos point out that the United States has never said the above systemic murder of children and women is morally wrong. There are pictures of President Bush putting a price on people’s heads and comparing him to the Mafia putting out a murder contract on people. Pictures of Muslims who resist having their homes blown up and their small bank accounts confiscated. The statistics of thousands of Muslims arrested without charges and jailed sometimes for years without a trial. President Bush publicly defending imprisonment without trials and torture. The Pentagon’s now decades old whitewash practice of never blaming anyone above an E6 sergeant in the reserves for the torture and murders that are discovered. Pictures of tanks roaming through the streets of densely populated Muslim towns in the West Bank and Gaza indiscriminately shooting at things. America’s 8 years of support (1980-1988) of Saddam Hussein, and the facts (true) of America giving Saddam specialized equipment, spy satellite intelligence and encouragement so he could continue the horrible Iran-Iraq war where over a half million young men died. The newest al Qaeda tape pictures of the horrible damage in southern Lebanon to homes, farms, roads, orchards, shops, animals, everything. It’s pictures of women and children, who were poor to begin with, crying over the destruction of their homes and almost everything they had in the world. This newest tape is call, “Made In America.”

A lot of Americans have airtight boxes in their mind and will say, “America doesn’t do all of that.” Here’s a legal and moral question: suppose you didn’t like somebody for racial and political reasons, you hirer a killer, pay him $10,000 and the killer murders the person. Suppose the killer is caught and confesses and gives the police all the evidence. Question, if your defense is, “I wasn’t there and I didn’t pull the trigger so I’m innocent,” will you walk free out of the courthouse with that defense? NO! Morally, ethically, honestly and legally you are guilty of murder. This has been the common law for over 2000 years and it’s the way the 1.4 billion people Muslim people sees it.

The dead heads in Washington’s power elite never learned anything from the Rodney King tape and subsequent national riots that burned down half of southern Los Angles and part of many other American cities, and that was over 20 years ago! Yes, one little video is all it takes! It’s not 1906, it’s 2006 and 500 million people have video cameras that can take pictures of what’s happening. Today cell phones can take pictures. Big governments no long have a straggle hold on information. Videotapes can be easily gathered, composed, duplicated and spread around the world and this is exactly what al Qaeda is busy doing as you read this page. We’ve already lost the pure military battle and we’re on the edge of totally losing the, “Hearts and minds” battle. The good will the United States built up in the world after WWII is being devastated worldwide.

A videotape, to be effective propaganda, only has to be 30% true. Apparently the al Qaeda videotapes are about 80% true and very effective at recruiting young people. Right now there are MILLIONS and millions of what Washington calls “terrorists” coming on line.

There is no military solution for “terrorism.” America has already lost militarily. America is an empire in decline with a lot of big useless military machines that are junk in a modern war like we are fighting today. America must change and Israel if it is to survive must change. Military victory is a mathematical equation and the equation is all against America and Israel. Of the 34 main factors that go into the equation let me give you only one: population comparisons. Israel, 5 million Jews, surround by 1.4 billion Muslims, that’s 5,000,000 vs 1,400,000,000, a 28 to 1 advantage for the Muslims. Does anyone on the general staff at the Pentagon have two alive brain cells to rub together?

If it wasn’t for this war America might have bluffed it’s way thought four or five more decades, the military’s big stupid machines would have sustained the bluff of America being a great military power. Now the whole world knows that we can only keep 200,000 troops in the field, and many of those troops are badly equipped because all the big money is going into big useless machines. The “terrorist” have shown the whole world how to defeat the America military.

CONCLUSION: The one and only way America will ever win the “war on terror” is to remove the root causes of terror. “Terrorism” is not a place, or thing or government, it’s a state of mind. Terrorism doesn’t have a capital city or ships at sea. Muslim terrorism is like the Internet, it’s nowhere and its everywhere at the same time. Muslim terrorism is inside the minds of hundreds of million people and it can only be “defeated” by changing those minds. You cannot defeat what hundreds of millions of Muslims see as injustice with more tanks, more bombs and bigger concentration camps. America can only “defeat” murder and injustice with justice and brotherhood.

In the 1960s the United States avoided a racial war that would have had “terrorism” much like the terrorism we have today. In 1960 I was a member of the NAACP at a time when it was very unpopular for a poor white boy to be an NAACP member, but I know it was the right thing to be doing at that point in history. The wise (Christian) decisions of the 1960s avoid an internal terrorist war in America by removing many of the overt racial injustices. That was a wise and Christian policy and a successful policy we need to duplicate again in the Middle East.

The September 9th issue of the Wall Street Journal (page A8) ran a long interview between well-respected reporter Paul Gigot and President Bush. In the interview President Bush said, “The policy prior to September 11th was stability for the sake of stability: Let us not worry about the form of government…And it looked like that policy was working, and, frankly, it made some sense when it came to dealing with the Middle East vis-à-vis the Communists…The problem with that philosophy, or that foreign policy, was that beneath the surface boiled resentment and hatred, and that resentment and hatred help fuel this radical Islam, and radical Islam is what ended up causing the attacks that killed 3000 or our citizens on 9/11…But in the long run the only way to make sure our grandchildren are protected is to win the battle of ideas, is to defeat the ideology of hatred and resentment…The United States is going to have to make a decision as to whether or not it will support moderates over extremists.”

In last months column I outlined a plan for a “Holy Land Free State.” The objective of this plan was to win the war on terror by removing some of the biggest generators of terror. WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN IF WE DON’T FAIL?

I had a vision of Osama bin Laden’s plan for defeating American. First, a review of the basics, (1) once you have enough highly enriched uranium U235 (HEU) you have an atomic bomb. (2) The Hiroshima bomb worked by simply firing a wedge of U235 into a pocket of U235. (3) U235 can be smuggled into America. Tons and tons of cocaine are smuggled in, tens of thousands of flesh and blood people are smuggled in, (and never found) and hundreds of tons of stolen cars are smuggled out. (4) The happy face disinformation is that U235 can be detected. The truth is sealing the radiation from longer range detection is doable, all you need is a think enough lead covering.

Russian General Alexander Lebed in 1997 said 84 atomic bombs were missing, later, that information was later “officially” denied, but NOT by General Lebed, (i.e. disinformation). Pakistan’s Dr., A.Q. Khan, the “Father of the Islamic Bomb,” had a big black market in selling U235 making equipment and information before the USA told Pakistan President Musharraf to stop him, however, Dr. Khan is still round. Iran, Israel, England, France, China, Russia and North Korea are all making U235, and apparently South Africa made some in the past for Israel and others. Advanced nations like Germany and Japan could start large scale U235 production almost immediately.

In my vision Osama bin Laden smuggled 6 atomic devices into America via 6 different routs. On their Nov. 14th 2004 show, 60 Minutes, interviewed CIA analyst Michael Scheuer said that Osama bin Laden had already obtained a “fatwa,” an Islamic decree of approval, justifying a nuclear attack against America for crimes against Muslim women and children.

In my vision Oama’s agents took the 6 devices to 6 different metropolitan areas of two million or more. They placed the devices between the 8th and 20th floors of condos, apartments and rented office space. Shields had been built before hand to totally hide the radiation for all long-range detectors. This happened in the spring and summer of 2008.

In August 2008 al Qaedia made a public statement to the effect that nuclear devices were already in America. Unless the United States totally pulls out of the Middle East, including all military personal everywhere, and unless it breaks diplomatic relations with Israel and stops all military and financial transfers. One bomb will go off every month between the 11th and 22nd of that month starting in September. The Washington power structure basically says, “Fuck you.” On September 11th 2008 a nuclear device goes off in Las Vegas, there is massive loss of life and the city is closed down.

The American stock market crashes, real estate values in bigger metropolitan areas crease, the US dollar crashes, the Fed lowers rates to 2% but that only drives the international dollar lower and starts the panic selling of US bonds. Before the 11th day in October millions of people leave the metropolitan areas of over 2 million and this causes massive disruptions of business nationwide. Tens of millions of Americans go out into the countryside during the 11th to 22nd period, every rural motel, hotel and camp sit is full. A second bomb goes off, this time in New York’s financial area. A run on all banks for cash causes the government to order all banks closed for a week.

The Presidential race is on, along with 100% of the House and 33% of the Senate and on November 4th 2008, election day, the anti-war and “let’s get out of the Middle East” candidates have a landslide victory. They capture the House and Senate by big margins, and the White House. All United States personal are ordered to leave the Middle East, and the bombs stop.

Osama and al Qaeda have used “the power of democracy” (President Bush’s words) to achieve total and decisive victory in the Middle East. The United States is a broken empire in the middle of a horrible financial crises.

CONCLUSION: If there is only 1 chance in 10 of the above happening that’s still totally unacceptable. American needs bold and courageous leaders to put us on a new course. The way to defeat terrorism is to correct the causes of terrorism.
